For Public Description - Adult Files -
32-45
WildList will Ignore everything past the 22nd line, Comments are Ok !
Command Line Parameters :
New Files Listing:
A command Line like this : Wildlist wildlist.cfg 30
will generate a file list or (and) a bulletin file of all
new files uploaded in xxx days. Be sure to specify a config
file for this set up.
Global File Listing:
A command Line like this : Wildlist Wildlist.cfg Global
will generate a alphabetized file list of all the files
you have specified on line 7. Its best to use the Exclude
Command on this type set up since the entire file database
is scanned.
Adding a File:
Normally, Wildlist will only update an existing file in the
Wildcat database with the fresh file stats if the freshen
option is turned on by Line 9.
Sometimes, people create a new list that is not in the database
already, and the sysop must manually add the file and move it.
Wildlist has a new command line parameter for this :
Wildlist Wildlist.cfg Add 28
If a command line like the above is used, wildlist will create
the database entry with the filename and path specified in your
config file then freshens it.
The Add switch must always be the 2rd parameter and the Area which
the file should put in will always be the 3rd parameter.
With this option, you still need to enter the file description as
wildlist will only create the Filename, Size, Date, and Default
flags in the database.
Remember, if your path to this file is different from the area
that you specified, the actual filepath will be inserted into
the database, making the file still available.
1st Line - Path to the MAIN Wildcat directory;
2nd Line - Path AND Filename of the output file. This is the Ascii
file we create before compression ! It can be put anywhere
now with any name. c:\text\files.txt
3rd Line - Path and Filename of the Compressed File.
If your not using the Freshen Option then you can use any
Path/Filename you like : d:\bbsstuff\allfiles.zip
***NOTE*** If you are using the Freshen Option then
This Path should be the same as the one in makewild for the
area were your file list will reside.
Example : ( In Makewild, File Area Definition )
Say your Downloadable BBS list is in area #5...
Highlight area 5 and press enter. The FILE AREA PATH
is the path you want to use + the filename your bbs list
named in your database.
So if your File Area Path for area 5 is C:\General\
and your Downloadable file list is named Allfiles.Zip then
Use c:\general\allfiles.zip
4th Line - Name of the Compression Utility to use + Any pre switches (a e).
These switches are between the command and filename.
Put the word NONE here if you do not want this option.
( ARJ.EXE Add -d -y ) These are example switches only !
If your compression utility is not in your dos path then
use the full path to that utility : C:\Arcers\Arj.exe Add -d -y
Again, the above switches were used for an example only.
Refer to your Compression Utility's Docs if you need more info.
5th Line - Compression Utility Options (after the filename).
6th Line - This is the areaname space character -> ▓▓▓▓ GAMES ▓▓▓▓
An + would cause the area Name to be spaced like this:
+++++++++++++++++++++ Games +++++++++++++++++++
Any Character should work fine here.
7th Line - Areas to Process ( Write to the list ) .
Use the either the Include or Exclude command both not
both.
Include 1-21 25 28 30-49 Process only these areas.
Exclude 1-21 25 28 30-49 Process all areas except these.
Delimeters - Everything that has a dash will be considered
as everything in between. 1-25 = 1 thru 25.
Spaces and Commas - 21 24 30 will mean areas 21 24 30 Only.
21,24,30 is the same as above.
The 3 delimeters can be used together as 1-10 13 15 18,20 27-40
8th Line - S = Single Line D = Double Line Same output as WCPRO!
9th Line - Do you wish to Freshen the File Size and Date in Wildcat ?
This gets the Info from the file that resides where makewild
points. See Line # 3 .
10th Line - Check for the Optional ###.Hdr Area Header Files ?
If 1.HDR exist and this option is turned on then your
Area Header Name Will be replaced by the Contents of
the 1.HDR File. You Can Have 1 xxx.HDR file per Area
with the xxx being replaced by the Area Number (Y or N).
11th Line - Write File Size and Total at the bottom of each Area
and also Grand Total of files listed and Total Bytes
at the very Bottom of the List. ( Y or N ).
12th Line - Makes a small list of the Top Ten Downloads for Each Area;
(Y or N)
13th Line - Inserts the Ascii file Ad.Hdr at the beginning of the file
list if it Exist. (Y or N). I use my Zip Comment.
This also puts a file called 'End.Hdr' at the end of the list.
If your creating bulletins, All the files will be .Bul instead
of the .HDR , Thats so you can use @Codes@ in the bulletins
and not the Downloadable List.
14th Line - Do you wish to append Results to Wildcats Activity Log (Y/N)
If Yes then enter log number (Node);
Example: Y 1 this will append to Activity.001
15th Line - Do you want to Delete the Original output file ? (Y/N)
This is refering to Line 2.
This Only Works if Line 4 is set to something besides None.
( We don't want to delete the file if we didn't archive it. )
16th Line - Do you want to show Passworded Files (Y/N).
If you say Yes then they will show a P in place of the |.
Offline Files will also show an O in place of the |.
PW-ONLY will make a list of PASSWORDED files only.
If you select double line output, the password will be
included also.
17th Line - Do you want to show Failed Scan Files (Y/N).
If you say Yes then they will show a F in place of the |
if the file has been flagged as Failed Scan.
If you say No then the file will not be written to the
output filelist.
18th Line - Do you want to insert the Abbreviation Index into the
filelist (Y/N).
If set to Y then Wildlist will insert the following Lines
just above the First File Area Header.
Abbreviation Index
[ | = NoFlag , B = Bad File , F = Free File , P = Passworded , O = Offline ]
19th Line - Accepts : BULL LIST BOTH ( See Below )
BULL - will create a bulletin Only with the @color@ codes Only.
useage > BULL Bul1.cfg
Bull.cfg is the name of your config file that contains
all the @COLOR@ stuff you want to use for that bulletin.
See the sample Bul1.cfg file.
LIST - Creates a normal File List - No Parameters - No Color
usage > LIST
BOTH - Creates a bulletin and a Normal File List.
Uses the same Parameters as BULL
useage > BOTH Bul1.cfg
<<< See inside the Bul1.cfg sample file for more info >>>
Line 20 - Do you wish to insert your own desciption ?
Example - You wish people to see your adult file list before
they get access... You can enter a default file description
for the public to see instead of the regular description.
For your normal adult list, you would ofcourse want the real
Descriptions. If your not sure of this option, you can contact
me or leave it alone, or maybe even experiment with it.
Line 21 - This would be the alternate file description.
Line 22 - These are the areas that will get the Alternate file descriptions.
usage : 31 32 34-38 or 31,32,34-38 All files in these areas will
have the description from line 19 inserted, the rest of the areas
would have the regular database description.
