Telecommunications Utility
Short Description:
------------------
TransferTIME (TTIME) is a telecommunications utility that will estimate
both the time and cost needed to send or receive a file, supporting mul-
tiple transfer protocols and modem speeds.
Long Description:
-----------------
TransferTIME (TTIME) Version 2.0 is a stand-alone utility designed to help
modem users estimate the needed time (and optionally, the cost!) for
sending and receiving files. TTIME can provide estimates based on file
name (for a file being sent from the user's computer to a remote computer)
or based on file size (for a file being sent from a remote computer to the
the user's computer).
TTIME supports modem speeds of 1200, 2400 and 9600 bps, and the XMODEM,
YMODEM, ZMODEM and CompuServe B+ file transfer protocols.
TTIME (as delivered) uses the current CompuServe access rates for 1200/2400
and 9600 bps access for it's cost estimates. Included in both the
evaluation AND registered user versions is a utility program that allows
the user to change the cost figures (ie, to add additional access surchar-
ges for CompuServe users or to substitute the rates charged for other pay-
by-use BBS systems).
Quotes from Reviews, Articles and Users:
----------------------------------------
TTIME was reviewed and recommended in the PC/Computing magazine's PRIME
TIME column in January, 1991. NOTE: The version reviewed and recom-
mended was the 1.3a version, which did NOT contain the cost estimating
functions included in this new version!

Author/Publisher Information:
-----------------------------
RGH Software is a small computer consulting and shareware programming
company located in Reed City, Michigan.
RGH Software is committed to producing the best quality, lowest cost
software available through any source. As a member of the Association of
Shareware Professionals (ASP), RGH Software also supports and abides by the
standards of the ASP regarding non-crippling of software and product
support guarantees to end users.
Richard Harper (the owner of RGH Software) has been involved in the
microcomputer field since 1975. Richard has programmed on a number of
diverse hardware platforms, ranging from the Timex-Sinclair 1000 up to
the IBM 360 system. Since 1986, Richard (and RGH Software) have been
committed to the IBM-PC and MS-DOS/PC-DOS computer family.
RGH Software currently is concentrating on utility packages and developing
other small PC-DOS/MS-DOS software. In the past RGH Software has written,
set up, and maintained large software applications for local ambulance
billing operations and law enforcement related applications.
As RGH Software does not (yet!) provide sufficient income to become a
stand-alone proposition, Richard works professionally as a paramedic with
Osceola County E.M.S., also located in Reed City, Michigan.
RGH Software welcomes questions, comments, suggestions and registrations
from its users and interested parties. You may address them to:
(Via U.S. Mail)
RGH Software
Route 1, Box 24
Reed City, MI 49677-9801
(Electronically)
CompuServe: Mail may be addressed to Richard Harper (76670,110) on
any of the IBM Forums, the ASP Forum, or by CompuServe Mail.
In addition, RGH Software places the latest versions of all software on
THE PC-CONNECTION RBBS/PC (616-796-8761, Big Rapids, MI) and calls there
for messages on a daily basis.
RGH Software plans to institute a BBS system, currently projected to be
on-line in the autumn of 1993. Registered Users and Software Update Pro-
gram members will be notified when this service is available, and the
announcement will also be added to program documentation when available
as well as the access number.
