*New features in Turbocopy:*
****************************
Version 2.00 (23 March 1993)
-A complete rewrite from version 1.15; new features too numerous to
list.
Version 2.01 (12 May 1993)
-Destination files may now be renamed in the case of a duplicate
filename.
-Extra option added in configuration: /XS (move files and
subdirectories) may now be set to imply /R (remove empty source
directories after copy).
-The file listing may now be sorted by size, and directories may be
kept separate from each other.
-Dates for the /D option is now in the same format as the COUNTRY
setting in your config.sys file.
-Pressing 'Escape' during a copy now gives the user the option to skip
the current file.
-New /J option added. Forces TC to sort the files with the sort
algorithm used by /B. Not recommended for multiple disk copies, since
more diskspace could be wasted.
-New /G option added. Sets the destination file date and time to the
current system settings.
-New /K:outfile option added. Mirrors all TC text output to 'outfile'.
-TurboCopy is now optimized for even faster performance on relatively
slow media (Magneto-Optical drives, etc.)
-TC may now be set to assume that the destination is a file, in the
case that the destination is ambiguous. (Note that TC will only assume
that the destination is a file if it has an extension, otherwise it
will still prompt the user.)
-TurboCopy is now able to read and write floppy disks formatted to
nonstandard capacities without requiring drivers like FDRead or 800.
-Depressing any shift key (Shift, Ctrl or Alt) while the cache is
flushing will temporarily remove the box, so you can see what is going
on underneath.
-Minor changes to the display, as well as the odd bug fix.
Version 2.02 (15 October 1993)
-A stand-alone colour editor for TurboCopy (written by D.J. Greeff) has
been included in the package to enable the user to change the default
colours to his liking.
-Files may now be deleted in the file selection box (see /B option) by
pressing Alt-D (highlighted file) or F8 (all selected files).
-Support for the renaming of files in the selection box is now also
included. (Press ALT-R).
-Wildcarded file select/unselect is now available (+ and - keys). Many
other changes were made to the manual file selection user interface,
please refer to the manual.
-Due to popular demand, the minimum amount of data to be flushed so
that the writeback box is displayed has been lowered from 128k to 8k.
-Pressing Ctrl-W during floppy cache writeback will abort it
immediately. Use with caution because DOS thinks the data is there!
-From version 2.02 onwards only the left- and right shift keys will
temporarily remove the writeback box during floppy cache writeback.
-TC now only remembers directories that have files in them and not all
subdirectories like in previous versions, effectively increasing the
maximum number of directories that may be copied.
-Some of TurboCopy's displays and prompts have been changed to make it
even more user-friendly.
-A comprehensive on-line help system has been added to the registered
version of the program. (/? option)
-The beep between multiple disk volumes is now user configuarble.
-TC now employs a LZSS self-compression routine (much like PKLite) and
requires at least 196K RAM to run.
-A few minor bugs have been removed.
-And finally, the overseas registration fee has been lowered from $15
to $10 to encourage overseas users to register TurboCopy.
