  18. 2. Even though a lot of the  features  in  Source  View  are
  19.    designed for programmers, you  can  also  use  it  as  an
  20.    advance text  editor.  Another  good  way  of  using  the
  21.    editing power of Source  View  is  software  integration.
  22.    Many  programs  allow  users  to  designate   an   editor
  23.    replacement. For example:

  25.    2a. The 1Word editor in XTGOLD can edit only one file  no
  26.        larger than 64K.  You can designate  Source  View  as
  27.        a replacement in the  configuration  (Alt-F10)  under
  28.        item "Editor program:".

  30.    2b. The  PCEdit  in  ProComm  Plus  also  has  the   same
  31.        limitation and can be  replaced  by  Source  View  in
  32.        SETUP UTILITY (Alt-S) under item  FILE/PATH  Options.
  33.        The QLEdit in QuickLink II/Fax can be replaced  in  a
  34.        similar manner.

  36.    2c. The default editor  in  FoxPro  can  be  replaced  by
  37.        adding the following line to CONFIG.FP:

  39.      TEDIT = /0 SV.COM
  40.  
  41. 3. You might know the SysEdit program in Windows  3.1  which
  42.    automatically opens the four system  files  for  DOS  and
  43.    Windows.  Here is a tip on how you can do it in DOS  with
  44.    Source View:

  46.    3a. Create a one-line batch file SYSED.BAT as follows:

  48.      @SV C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT C:\CONFIG.SYS

  50.    3b. Place both  SYSED.BAT  and  SV.COM  in  one  of  your
  51.        directories included in your PATH.

  53.    3c. At any DOS prompt, type SYSED <CR>.
  54.  
  55. 4. Source View use only conventional memory.  Therefore, the
  56.    total size of all open files can  not  exceed  640K.  The
  57.    maximum number of open files is only  subject  to  memory
  58.    availability.  Future versions of this  program  will  be
  59.    able to use XMS or EMS memory.

  61. 5. The word "same" should be  added  to  the  last  but  one
  62.    paragraph of the "Run-time File Access" help message:

  64.      "The maximum number ... at the same time is 32, ..."

  66. 6. A harmless bug was discovered  after  the  release.  When
  67.    you select "Build", "Load", or "Save" function  in  SETUP
  68.    with the cursor at the last line of the screen, the empty
  69.    line becomes blue after the function is performed.
