QUIKCOPY and Disk-Caches
This is a request to users of disk-caching software as to whether or not
QUIKCOPY experiences any problems with these caches. In the documentation
of QUIKCOPY, it was requested that users contact the author when problems
arise out of the use of a disk-cache with QUIKCOPY. As of yet, no such
problems have arisen, and it is therefore presumed there are none (?).
Currently, only HYPERDISK and SMARTDRIVE are supported to inhibit any
problems that may arise. Problems may particularly occur when copying
non-standard diskette formats, using write-back (write-delay) disk-caches
that are able to cache diskette-drives.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone experiencing problems with
disk-caches report these problems to the author. A short description of
the problem and (of course) the name of the cache involved should be
included.
For details of contacting the author or RJS Software, see the end of
QUIKCOPY.DOC.
Thanks in advance,
Roland Skinner
