About this release..
--------------------
This is an alpha release. So, it is even more dangerous than a beta
release! :-)
Alpha (for timEd) means that the code has only been tested by me, not by
anyone else. Usually, new code is tested by a small group of testers,
before it is released to the public (as a new beta) [they usually find
quite a few bugs as well :-)].
Howver, his release has experimental support for JAM, and since my
testers run Squish, they can't / will hardly test the JAM code. So, I
decided to release this to the public, hopefully some of you will test
the JAM stuff.
This is my first go at JAM, I certainly do not expect it to be perfect
at once. I'm sure you'll run into trouble, hopefully it will not be too
serious :-)
I think the above description makes the situation clear, but just for
clarity:
WARNING!! THE JAM CODE IN TIMED IS EXPERIMENTAL!! BE CAREFUL!! DATA MAY
BE LOST!!
and finally:
IN NO EVENT WILL THE AUTHOR OF THIS PRODUCT BE LIABLE FOR ANY
DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGES WHICH MAY HAVE ARISEN
FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
Hopefully this got your attention! Thanks :-)
Docs..
------
About timed.doc: it is not up-to-date. The new options in beta 9 and
alpha 10 are not yet documented in timed.doc.... See the whatsnew
files..
Bug Reports..
-------------
Please, please, please report! I need info! If it works OK: report! If
it f*cks up, tell me!
Especially the JAM stuff is quite new, so I expect problems in that
area. If I receive detailed bug reports, I'll try to deal with the
problems as soon as possible!
