0 = General options: tell HydraCom how to behave on your system
1 = Link options: specify possible link restrictions during Hydra sessions
2 = Communications: adjust comport, speed and other settings
3 = Port assignments: change port addresses/interrupts of internal async routines
4 = Save (changed) configuration file to disk and exit HydraCfg
5 = Throw away any configuration changes and quit HydraCfg
; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
:GENERAL_ITEMS
0 = Path/filename of logfile (empty=no logfile) Compatible with Maximus,Opus,etc
1 = Level of logging, write more or less information to logfile
2 = Log transfer information to a DSZ compatible logfile (empty=no logfile)
3 = Disable receive bad-transfer recovery, don't save/resume aborted transfers
4 = Replace older file with same name, or give the new file a unique name
5 = Retain files' original date/time or set to current date/time
6 = Drive/path to store received files (empty = current directory)
7 = Disable bell noise in chat facility * Sysops may want to use this option!
8 = Use direct screen writes (very fast) or use standard BIOS routines (slow)
9 = Return to top menu
; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
:LOGLEVEL_ITEMS
0 = Debug: log everything, including info about EVERY packet sent/received
1 = Verbose: detailed, gives more information than standard logging
2 = Standard: normal logging, only report the important info about transfers
3 = Terse: Only log the bare essentials, filenames and fatal errors
4 = Errors: Only log fatal matters like disk space and file I/O errors
; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
:LINK_ITEMS
0 = Mailer mode, used by Dutchie Mailer * Advanced users only *
1 = Not originator side, 1-way fallback allowed * See HydraCom manual *
2 = Force 1-way mode (if combined with previous option) * See HydraCom manual *
3 = Transmitter window (0=full streaming) to set/limit runahaid through networks
4 = Receiver window (0=full streaming) to limit runahaid from remote via networks
5 = Escape/strip XON/XOFF characters via links that apply software flow control
6 = Escape/strip Telenet escape sequence (Telenet / PC-Pursuit users only)
7 = Escape/strip ASCII 0-31 and 127 (all control chars) via less transparent links
8 = Apply above three options also for 8th bit for even less transparent links
9 = Encode for 7 bit, strip 8th bit for transfers via 7 bit connections
10 = Return to top menu
; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
:COMMS_ITEMS
0 = Set communications port [1..16] default=COM1
1 = Set communications speed computer <> modem (Current=don't touch)
2 = Set communications speed modem <> modem (0 = same as computer <> computer)
3 = Toggle start/parity/stopbits 7E1 or 8N1 (7E1 for 7 bit connections)
4 = Drop Data Terminal Ready signal to modem if carrier lost so modem can't answer
5 = Disable Carrier detection, use with terminal command and on nul-modem links
6 = Use but don't (de)init FOSSIL * Advanced users only * used by Dutchie Mailer
7 = Flow control options None, Software (XON/XOFF), Hardware (RTS/CTS) or Both
8 = Try enabling this option if you frequently see resends in either direction
9 = If you have a 16550A type serial chip, adjust here for optimum performance
10 = Carrier detect mask - default is 128, change for non-standard comports/cables
11 = Return to top menu
; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
:SPEED_ITEMS
0 = Don't change speed of comport, read its current setting and use that
1 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 300 bits per second
2 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 1200 bits per second
3 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 2400 bits per second
4 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 4800 bits per second
5 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 9600 bits per second
6 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 19200 bits per second
7 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 38400 bits per second
8 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 57600 bits per second
9 = Set comport (computer <> modem link) to 115200 bits per second
; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
:FLOW_ITEMS
0 = No flow control whatsoever: standard for low speed modems (upto 2400)
1 = Software flow control using XON/XOFF characters: through some networks
2 = Hardware flow control using RTS/CTS lines: high speed modems and fixed links
3 = If you have a high speed link AND connect through a network requiring XON/XOFF
