  8.      program you received from Omen Technology to use with future versions of
  9.      DSZ you may download!  (Use GCOLORS to serialize GSZ.)

  11.      Current GSZ and DSZ versions are maintained on EXEC-PC BBS, BIX, GEnie
  12.      (IBM Roundtable), CompuServe (IBMCOM and CONSULT SIGs) as well as Omen's
  13.      TeleGodzilla (503-621-3746).

  15.      DSZ is a popular program which has been the object of virus attacks.
  16.      Pirated/hacked versions of DSZ have cost users and DSZ's developer
  17.      thousands of dollars in lost time and other expenses, in addition to
  18.      injuring of Omen Technology's reputation.

  20.      Virus and Trojan code hidden in hacked/pirated copies of DSZ and
  21.      programs claiming to "register DSZ" have caused loss of data.

  32.      Your copy of DSZ should show the same CRC values.  ZIP uses a 32 bit CRC
  33.      compatible with the Professional-YAM and ZCOMM "crc" command.

  40.      If your copy shows a different CRC or file length, insist on a
  41.      legitimate copy and report the source of the bogus/pirated copy to Omen
  42.      Technology Inc.  Omen Technology has received reports of serious
  43.      problems caused by unauthorized patches to DSZ, and cannot assume
  44.      liability for the performance of the resultant code.

  49.      A problem in the 1/17/89 and 2/2/89 DSZ versions corrupts files under
  50.      unusual circumstances.  Please delete all instances of the 1/17/89 and
  51.      2-02-89 version.

  53.      There never was a "zmodem d" parameter in DSZ.  Older versions of DSZ
  54.      ignored attempts to set this nonexistent parameter with a message that
  55.      humans ignored.  DSZ now aborts when asked to set a nonexistent

  64.      parameter.  There is a "d" parameter that controls time/date stamping of
  65.      files; Bulletin boards that need to disable time/date stamping of
  66.      received files should simply use "pd0" not preceded by a "z".

  68.      Good news for tired frog stompers!  The ZMODEM rz/sz programs are
  69.      available in native VMS flavors with wild cards, record format support,
  70.      etc..  Pre compiled VAX/VMS files are contained in the RZSZ.TLB
  71.      compressed text library, available in the TeleGodzilla (503-621-3746)
  72.      upgrade/vms subdirectory, Compuserve VAXFORUM, GEnie, and other bulletin
  73.      boards.

  75.      The DSZ and GSZ "t" command uses the DOS console driver for terminal
  76.      emulation.  Standard ANSI.SYS is limited to a small subset of ANSI
  77.      escape sequences; NANSI.SYS, FANSI-Console and other replacement console
  78.      drivers provide faster screen updates and better ANSI terminal
  79.      emulation.

  84.      Nov 27 1993:  Serial I/O has been tuned for more efficient operation
  85.      with internal modems using firmware driven virtual UARTs.

  87.      May 29 1993: The portx command now works with IRQ's up to 15, and,
  88.      optionally, nonstandard baudrate clocks.

  91.      Newer UART chips can use raw bit rate sources higher than the standard
  92.      1.8432 MHz.  Some 386 and 486 machines support MobyBaud(TM) operation
  93.      above 115200 bps.

  96.      bit rate source frequency in MHz divided by 1.84320.

  106.      copies.  Enhancements to accomodate non standard XMODEM programs.
