  7. This file contains the latest information regarding FM Applic
  8. (NT).  For more information, please read the following files:

  14. New Features with Version 1.1
  15. -----------------------------
  16.  
  17. The following new features were introduced with FM Applic 1.1:
  18.  
  19.    o Auto-Load Application Icons Stay on Top of the File Manager
  20.  
  21.      The "Keep On Top" option has been added to the Application
  22.      Properties dialog box.  If you select this option, the
  23.      application's icon will stay on top of the File Manager
  24.      window.  
  25.  
  26.      This feature allows you to Drag-Drop files to your
  27.      auto-load applications even if the File Manager window is
  28.      expanded to full size.
  29.  
  30.    o "Crop" Icon Shrinkage Method
  31.  
  32.      The "Crop" icon shrinkage method has been added to the
  33.      Change Button dialog box.  If you select this option, a
  34.      16x15 section from the upper left hand corner of the icon
  35.      is copied pixel for pixel, to the toolbar button (i.e. no
  36.      shrinkage is performed).
  37.  
  38.      This feature allows you to create a custom toolbar button
  39.      using your favorite icon editor. Create your image in the
  40.      upper left hand corner (16 pixels wide by 15 pixels high)
  41.      of the icon.

  43.    o "Unknown" File Status in File Prompt (%@FP) Argument Field
  44.  
  45.      The File Prompt argument field now accepts UNKNOWN as a
  46.      keyword for file-status.  Use this keyword if the
  47.      application can accept a new file or an existing file. This
  48.      will display a File Name dialog box.
  49.  
  50.    o NTFS Long Filenames Supported
  51.  
  52.      The "Long Filenames" option has been added to the
  53.      Application Properties dialog box.  Select this option if
  54.      the application supports NTFS long filenames.
  55.  
  56. Fixes/Additions with Version 1.1b
  57. -------------------------------
  58.  
  59. 1.  Removes temporary files left from previous executions.
  60.  
  61. 2.  Problems with toolbar buttons disappearing from the
  62.     toolbar has been fixed.
  63.  
  64. 3.  More "application descriptions" were added.
  65.  
  66. 4.  Icon buttons available in FMAPPLIC.DLL.  Use the "crop"
  67.     icon shrinkage method to view them properly.

  69. Known Problems
  70. --------------
  71.  
  72. 1.  Auto-loaded Windows 3.1 applications do not get closed
  73.     when the File Manager exits.
  74.  
  75. 2.  "Keep On Top" does not work with Windows 3.1 applications.
