Share Net International Ltd
Quality Evaluation Document
SNI will use this Quality Evaluation Document to evaluate your software.
Please carry out a self-test of your software, objectively, before submitting
your software to SNI.
The most likely reasons for SNI requiring further work on software, before
acceptance, are as follows:
1. Using the wrong video format, such as NTSC. Please ensure that your
software is compatible with the UK and Europe.
2. Files missing from the supplied disk. Please re-install your software
from the disk on your own computer, and check that it works before
sending it to SNI.
3. Install program does not install all required files, even though they
have been supplied on the source diskette.
4. An unacceptable level of bugs in the software. SNI prefer software
to be bug free. Major bugs, or several minor bugs will result in
SNI requesting further work on the product before acceptance.
5. The provision of a demonstration version of the software, instead of a
full working version. SNI do not market or evaluate demonstrations.
Please send only full working versions of software.
6. Poor quality product. Good value for money is essential, so please
ensure that your product is of a high quality.
7. Educational products not being referenced to a specific syllabus.
Educational products are likely to be more popular if they fit into a
specific syllabus. Please try to find out which syllabus your
educational product fits into. If you cannot, then please state the age
range and subject at which the software is aimed.
8. Lack of information about the product. SNI provide a product support
service on your behalf. This avoids endless phone calls to you, and
ensures a consistent quality service to our club members. We therefore
require sufficient information to provide such a service. Questions
requiring your attention will be sent to you in a list. As you send
SNI the answers to each set of questions, the SNI help desk will answer
these questions in future, on your behalf. We therefore anticipate that,
as long as you provide sufficient information initially, and answer any
questions sent to you promptly, such question lists should be rare.
If you do not provide any information about your product, (such as a
user guide and a list of the most likely questions, and the answers to
these questions), then SNI may request this information before commencing
marketing of your product.

9. Non-standard front and back screens. All marketing is carried out and
managed by SNI. Club Members do not, ordinarily, contact SNI Payware
authors directly (most authors prefer it that way!) SNI therefore have
a standard front and back screen for all of their products. These
screens may be supplemented to at the authors discretion, but must
contain the following words as a minimum:

Only include those lines from "Take on the World with SNI" to the row of
asterisks on the SNI CLOSING SCREEN (those lines marked with asterisks at
the edges) if you have included a check code for a Hi-Score table in your
software. If your software has a hi-score table, but no check code, then
why not add a check code to the hi-score results to ensure they're not
faked? This will enable SNI to run a World Hi-Score table, and use your
software in International Tournaments.
