ASP Ombudsman Policy
"This program is produced by a member of the Association
of Shareware Professionals (ASP). ASP wants to make sure
that the shareware principle works for you. If you are
unable to resolve a shareware-related problem with an ASP
member by contacting the member directly, ASP may be able
to help. The ASP Ombudsman can help you resolve a dispute
or problem with an ASP member, but does not provide
technical support for members' products. Please write to
the ASP Ombudsman at 545 Grover Road, Muskegon, MI 49442-
9427 or send a CompuServe message via CompuServe Mail to
ASP Ombudsman 70007,3536."
License Agreement
BTS-Equalizer users must accept this disclaimer of warranty:
BTS-Equalizer is supplied as is. The author disclaims
all warranties, expressed or implied, including, without
limitation, the warranties of merchantability and of
fitness for any purpose. The author assumes no
liability for damages, direct or consequential,
which may result from the use of BTS-Equalizer.
Respect copyright. Request permission to COPY testbanks.
With a little practice teachers can WRITE better questions
themselves with BTS-Equalizer and obtain even better ones
by selecting and editing from student authored files!
Students can share, trade and sell instructional question
files royalty free for a one time distribution fee.** You
can create files of any assignment that can be reduced to
descriptive terms. This includes preparation for not only
class, but also school and regional examinations where test
standards have been published.
Teachers can use student authored files as assessment folder
items or as the source for questions in free-choice and
forced-choice tests. These tests can be shared, traded and
sold royalty free for a one time distribution fee.**
Personal use of the program, without distribution of
instructional question files by trade or sale, is free.
------------------------------------------------------------
** The one time distribution fee required for distribution
of instructional question files on paper, disk or BBS, when
traded or sold, is included in the "Registered" copy price
and the "Shareware" registration fee ($20) for students and
teachers. The one time distribution fee for "Royalware" is
one dollar less than the shareware registration fee. (See
description of Registered, Shareware and Royalware copies on
the following page.)
The one time distribution fee is also included in the paid
site license for schools. All others, please contact Nine-
Patch Software if you intend to create and distribute
instructional question files.

registration mode for your copy and use.

Personalizing Your Copy
1. Enter EDIT REGDISK.NUM or use a word processor that can
produce a clean ASCII code text file.
2. You will see a text with three lines:
RD# 000000132
Disk Number
(blank)
3. Change lines 2 and 3 and exit editing:
RD# #########
(Your 13 digit registration number)
(Your, up to 35 character, name or group name)
4. Enter EQ and check your work on the screen. It should be
correct if your word processor did not add things like
line page breaks and form feeds at the top of the file.
Then mail in the registration form. Include comments on
your subjects and examinations. For your maximum benefit
you need to be able to trade instructional question files.
Personal use of the program, without distribution of
instructional question files by trade or sale, is free.
