You have a choice to install Wildcat this way, If you would
like to call the phone lines that are listed and test for
yourself. I have had people that have said this file does
not work correct. You can choose from what you see and test
from calling my system, and then the others that have said
that this file doesnt work correctly! You won't be wasting
your time, i have 14.7 Gigabytes.
-----------------------------------------------------------
[1] - If you still have problems after this installation please either call
(BBS) - Line: 1 = 1-503-364-9998
(BBS) - Line: 2 = 1-503-364-5791
(VOICE) - = Waiting
PLEASE DON'T USE SIO102,110,111,112,120.ZIP WITH WILDCAT! YOU'LL HAVE PROBLEMS
USE ((( SIO100.ZIP ))) ONLY PREFERED FOR WILDCAT PROGRAMS
You have the choice to check into these other versions, and this is NO down
fall for this product. This product is the best that Gwinn has come up with!
=================================================
-=(Bulletin Board Installation Program used for OS/2.1)=-
=================================================
New updates [ * ]
Bulletin Board Types:
WILDCAT
GAP
PCBOARD
-=(MANY OTHERS)=-
When installing a Bulletin Board, you MUST start the batch
file from the main root directory. If you have D: C: E: drives which
ever that wildcats in, You must have OS/2's command.com in that root
directory. If this isn't followed this same way, You'll either have
problems with your COMMAND.COM and your TERMINATING to door programs,
such as Tomcat or any other door. (WILDCAT)
I include a RDB.BAT file that starts my system. I hope it helps?
[1] - When your done installing your OS/2 operating system.
[2] - DROP to DOS and edit config.sys (CHANGE)
/E:1536
or
SHELL=C:\OS2\MDOS\COMMAND.COM C:\OS2\MDOS /E:1024 /P (BETTER ENVIROMENT SPACE)
If you want more environment space, you must try a different way, don't
change /E:1536 to more then 1536 because D'bridge will not run under these
parameters or /E:2048. I suggest you either run it from /E:64, /E:512, or
/E:1024 /E:1536 others just won't work unless you have something totally
different from D'bridge.
FILES=80 or 40 (recommend *40*)
DEVICE=C:\OS2\SIO.SYS (COM LOCKER) (SIO100.ZIP)(check docs for parameters)
DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VSIO.SYS (COM LOCKER) (SIO100.ZIP)
RUN=C:\OS2\CACHE.EXE (Use the manuals parameters)
____________________________________________________________________
| IN EACH BATCH YOU MUST HAVE THIS PARAMETER (MODE COM1:19,n,8,1,p)|
| MAKE SURE YOU START THE BATCH FOR WILDCAT IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY |
--------------------------------------------------------------------

-=(IF YOU HAVE 16 MEGS OR MORE USE THESE PARAMETERS)=-
PRIORITY_DISK_IO=NO or YES [Doesn't seem to speed things up either way]
DISKCACHE=2048,LW,128,AC:C
MAXWAIT=1
SWAPPATH=C:\OS2\SYSTEM 4096 4096
FCBS=32,32 (OPTIONAL)
THREADS=512
PRIORITY=DYNAMIC (OPTIONAL)
DOS=HIGH,NOUMB
-=(IF YOU HAVE A PIONEER CDROM, THESE ARE THE PARAMETERS)=-
BASEDEV=FD8XX.ADD /ET (/ET is to read the SCSI luns)
FD8XX.ADD is the parameter for only the DRM-600A Pioneer cdrom.
I suggest you dont use this parameter (/AUTOCHECK:) on all drives
that are CDROM drives, does absoluty nothing. Autocheck will not work on
CDROM drives because there read only!, also dont use them on FLOPPY
drives either. (AUTOCHECK:)

_________________________|______________________________________________
Specfies the drives that the operating system CHECKS at startup time to
determine if the FILE system associated with a drive is in an inconsistent
state. A file system could be in an inconsistent state when files were
left open. This can happen when :
o : The computer was turned off without selecting the SHUT DOWN choice
from the menu of the desktop.
o : Eletrical power to the computer was interrupted.
The OS/2 operating system runs the CHKDSK program with the /F option to
correct any problem caused by improper system shutdown. Each time you
format a drive for high performance file system, the operating system
updates the IFS statement in the CONFIG.SYS file with appropriate
AUTOCHECK parameters.
o : CHKDSK is not to be used on CDROM DRIVES. Other help texted files
tell you to do it this way. (DONT!)

Take out COM.SYS and VCOM.SYS first, before you reboot, With the

the DOS SETTINGS with the new SIO and VSIO sys files.

[2] - Make these parameters to the (DEVICE) DOS SETTINGS. (IN EACH BBS

i recieved from Clifford and Tanya Brock and runs GREAT!
DOS_HIGH (ON)
DOS_FILES (80) or (40) (40 is recommended)
IDLE_SECONDS (0)
IDLE_SENSITIVITY (100)

[1] - AUTOEXEC.BAT
[2] - CONFIG.SYS
[3] - SIO100.ZIP (USE THE VX00.SYS FOSSIL DRIVER FOR D'BRIDGE)
or
X00.SYS parameters for better door operation!
If you have disagreements then keep it to yourself, I dont like
comments from the fido OS/2 echos. If you run a different system
its understandable that these parameters might not work for you,
but this is a help file for the people that really need help with
OS/2. If you have something to say and you dislike this HELP file
then think it in your head not on FIDONET!. HELP IS HELP AND PEOPLE
MIGHT NEED IT, IF THERE STARTING OUT WITH OS/2 OPERATING SYSTEM.
KEEP IT TO YOURSELF IF YOU DONT LIKE THESE HELP FILES
