  7. KL-ZIP is a GUI interface for the shareware/public domain programs ZIP.EXE 
  8. and UNZIP.EXE for OS/2.  KL-ZIP will NOT work properly with PKZIP or 
  9. PKUNZIP!  This is a 'WORK IN PROGRESS'!!  I wanted to post this early beta
  10. so that I can begin to get feedback.  Currently KL-ZIP ONLY supports viewing
  11. ZIP files and extracting ZIP files. KL-ZIP is designed to fully exploit 
  12. OS/2's capabilities. KL-ZIP supports HPFS long file names. For readability 
  13. KL-ZIP substitutes a '|' character whenever a SPACE is encountered in a 
  14. HPFS filename. This may be changed in a future version. I currently plan on
  15. posting all new versions on OS/2 Shareware BBS at 703-385-4325. I call there
  16. about once a week. You may contact me via messages there. 
  17. As soon as I get some preliminary ZIP creation capabilities working I will 
  18. work on some docs and help files. Please be patient. The final version of 
  19. KL-ZIP is expected to be shareware and carry a $15-$25 registration fee.

  21. The final Shareware version will NOT support HPFS long files names or
  22. loading filenames via ASSOCIATIONS unless it is registered! Other 
  23. restrictions may also apply to unregistered copies! Registration enabled
  24. features will be pulled by the end of 1993! If you like what you see during
  25. development you can get a pre-release registration special for only $5.00!!
  26. After initial release registration will be $15-$25.
