  8. Clmode.exe or Video Adapter Utility program to select monitor type.

  10. 256 Color Blitter Drivers can only be used with the OS/2 2.0
  11. Corrective Service Pack which is an upgrade that can be purchased
  12. from IBM.

  14. Installing the 16 colors non-blitter driver:

  16. 1. Edit OS/2's config.sys file with the following settings.
  17.  
  18.    ADD> 
  19.    search for the LIBPATH statement and add "C:\OS2\DLL\CLDSP" to
  20.      the beginning of the LIBPATH statement.
  21.      For example: LIBPATH=C:\OS2\DLL\CLDSP; .; ........
  22.    set video_devices=vio_SVGA
  23.    set vio_SVGA=device(bvhvga,bvhsvga)
  24.    device=%1:\os2\mdos\vsvga.sys
  25. and remark (REM) the following statements:
  26.    REM set video_devices=vio_vga
  27.    REM set vio_vga=device(bvhvga)
  28.    REM device=%1:\os2\mdos\vvga.sys

  30. 2. Bring up a DOS full screen session, run Clmode.exe utility that came in 
  31.    your video adapter Utilities Disk to set monitor type,
  32.    then insert Cirrus Logic's driver diskette in drive A or B, 
  33.    type A:SVGA.EXE ON or B:SVGA.EXE ON to create a svgadata.pmi file.
  34.    Copy your svgadata.pmi file to your \OS2 subdirectory.

  36. 3. shutdown the system to boot up from the OS/2 2.0 Installation
  37.    Diskette, then ESC out of Diskette One to run cli1620.cmd.

  39. Installing the 256 colors blitter driver:

  66. When running Win-OS2 in Full Screen, Open Settings for Win-OS2 Full Screen and 
  67. go to Session. Under Dos Settings go to Video_Switch_Notification and switch 
  68. the default setting from OFF to ON. This setting must be changed so that when
  69. running Full Screen Win-OS2 the Virtual Device Driver (VSVGA.SYS) functions 
  70. properly when switching between OS/2 Presentation Manager and Windows 
  71. Program Manager.
