  5. Hazel v1.2 is on the way!   Registered users will be able to apply 
  6. registration to the new version (with no upgrade cost) using a program 
  7. supplied on your personalized registration diskette.  Note that the 
  8. registration incentives in v1.2 will be stronger than in v1.1, so register
  9. NOW if you plan to continue to use Hazel!

  11. Features new to v1.2 include:

  14. The file format in v1.2 has been modified to include some of the 
  15. features below.   Registered users will be able to convert v1.1 Hazel 
  16. files to v1.2.    The conversion program will ONLY work for registered users!
  17.  
  18. Added "Save Window Positions" option to Edit menu.   This allows 
  19. customization of the main, index, entry, dial, and find window 
  20. positions.  The windows will be brought up in the saved positions whenever
  21. Hazel is executed.
  22.  
  23. Print support for non-Day-Timers(R) users has been added.
  24.  
  25. Two dialing prefixes are now supported.
  26.         
  27. Added Day-Timers(R) vertical offset selection to User Preferences, since 
  28. some users were having minor problems with print alignment.
  29.         
  30. Added Remove field to User Preferences.  This field specifies the prefix 
  31. that should stripped from phone numbers in the Dialer (for example, 
  32. "1-504-" might be specified to ensure that calls local to the 504 area 
  33. code are dialed without the "1-504-" prefix).

  35. Added Entry Dialog and Index Dialog checkboxes to User Preferences to
  36. allow selection of the dialogs which automatically pop up when an 
  37. address book is opened.

  39. Added Dial and Clip buttons to Index dialog.   Dial brings up the dialer 
  40. without going through the Entry dialog and Clip pastes the current entry 
  41. to the clipboard.  Double-clicking on an entry still brings up the 
  42. complete entry in the Entry dialog.

  44. Added Clip button to Entry dialog to allow pasting to the clipboard 
  45. directly from the Entry dialog.
  46.         
  47. Added support for up to six phone numbers.   Phone numbers 3-6 are 
  48. accessed through a spin field to save screen space.   The Dialer has 
  49. access to all six numbers.

  51. Added a Country field to the Entry dialog.

  53. The Find and Index dialogs can now both be popped up simultaneously.

  55. The main Hazel window may now be raised above the Entry and Index 
  56. dialogs.

  58. Import/Export now allows the field positions to be specified via spin
  59. buttons; the Import/Export facility has been improved significantly.

  61. Added Dup(licate) button to the Entry dialog to duplicate the current 
  62. entry.

  64. Added "Find All" button to Find dialog.   This allows all entries
  65. matching a particular string to be tagged.

  67. When the Find dialog is used, dismissed, and brought up again, the 
  68. previous search text is marked so that a single keystroke will clear the 
  69. text and allow new search text to be typed.

  71. Accelerator keys added for toggling the Entry and Index dialogs and 
  72. tagging/un-tagging all entries.   The Index and Entry dialogs can now both
  73. be toggled from the main Hazel window.

  75. If no changes are made to an address book, the index file is not rebuilt 
  76. on exit.   This change is particularly important for Hazel users with 
  77. large address books (one user regularly uses a 1500+ entry one); exiting 
  78. Hazel will be much faster now when no changes have been made to the open 
  79. address book.

  81. Envelope printing has been significantly improved; specification of
  82. a "10" form via the Job Properties dialog is no longer necessary, as
  83. an envelope-sized "image" will be printed on whatever form is
  84. selected.   The Job Properties dialog is no longer displayed when
  85. printing envelopes.   Return and TO: address placement can still be
  86. adjusted in User Preferences.

  88. Added "Approve" mode for both envelope and Day-Timers printing which allows
  89. you to approve, edit, or skip each envelope/Day-Timers entry.

  91. Fonts may now be selected for both the return and TO: addresses for
  92. envelopes.

  94. The font for Day-Timers printing may now be specified.
  95.  
  96. Support for Avery labels is underway; I'm not sure if this will be done in
  97. time for v1.2, and may be supplied only to registered users.
