The CPU & Drives program was written by PureCode Computing in Longmont, CO.
Here is the plain English description of our warranty:

Here is the not so plain English description of our warranty:
You use this program at your own risk. We are not responsible if using this
program causes you any loss. We include this message because there are too
many sue-happy people out there (and we aren't talking about people who like
people named Sue). So, if you have a problem with this program, feel free
to write and let us know. If you would like to have something added or
changed in this program then please write and let us know. If you have a
great idea for an OS/2 program that you just can't keep to yourself then
sure, write us and let us know. If you don't like this program, if it causes
your computer to act strangely, or whatever, then don't use the program. We
have tested this program on a number of OS/2 machines with no problems. This
does not mean that you will not have any problems. Is that enough? Good.

Ok, now on with the real stuff:
The CPU & Drives program is used to show the amount of processor time and
disk space being used. It does this graphically and is a great utility to
just keep running in the background as a system monitor. To run the program,
just execute the program cpudrive.exe. The cpudrive.hlp file should either
be in the current directory or in the HELP path. The first time the program
runs it will create a cpudrive.ini file that stores all of the initialization
parameters for the program. This file will initially be created in the
current directory when the program is run. You may then move the ini file to
anywhere in the DPATH (data path). The CPU & Drives program will search the
current directory first, then the data path second for the cpudrive.ini file.
If found it will load the start-up settings from there, otherwise it will use
the default values and create another cpudrive.ini file in the current
directory. You may press F1 any time you are using the program to get context
sensitive help. If you lose the title bar and cannot get it back try double
clicking the first mouse button in the CPU & Drives window as that toggles
the title bar display. Also, since many people will never bother to read
the on-line help, try double clicking the second mouse button on one of the
disk drive bar graphs for more information on the drive. See the on-line
information for more fun things you can do.

Usage Fees:
The CPU & Drives program is shareware. This means that you should pay for it
if you are going to use it. There is only one exception to this rule and that
is that the beta-testers get free copies (as many as they like). Here is the
way the payments work:
If you like the CPU & Drives program and plan to keep it then just take a dollar
and put it in an envelope (make a check out for a dollar as you aren't allowed
to send cash through the mail :-) ). Now, mail the envelope to:
PureCode Computing
800 Vivian St.
Longmont, CO 80501
If you would us to notify you when we have new programs available please include
your name, address, and e-mail address. If you would like to be a beta-tester
for our next product (a robot-warrior game) then let us know that too. We are
only planning to let registered users and former beta-testers be beta-testers
for our future products. We don't guarantee that all registered users who request
it will be allowed to become future beta-testers.
When you register what do you get? Well, nothing actually. You do get to know
that you actually paid for one of the programs you have on your computer though.
And a dollar isn't that much. Also, once you have paid your dollar you are
allowed to use as many copies of the program as you want. You may use the
program on your computer at work and use it on your six computers at home,
whatever you would like. The only thing you can't do is give your registration
to someone else. If they want to use the program with full peace of mind then
let them send in their own dollar!

If you find a legitimate bug, and you are the first to bring to our attention,
you will receive a free registration of either this or our next program.
