General information:
This Door is a Production of Blue Foxx Software. At some later date it
will cease to operate except in local mode. The time frame may be from
already expired to 3 months or less, depending on when you received this
door. It will still continue to function in Local or from DOS mode. This
is what is known as crippling, honesty has always been the best policy but
sometimes a small reminder never hurt. I would have liked to distribute
these doors as open as possible but it seems that some people would like
to test the doors for a period that went into years. If these doors had
a warranty period it would have been up long ago. Anyway I have begun
distributing these doors like this so that everyone will have a some time to
determine if it is what they want or not. Also Registered Version may or may
not have extra or enhanced options for players or Sysops.
If you have any ideas on improving this or any other door that I have wrote,
please feel free to tell me. I'm always looking for suggestions, good or bad.
See the end of this DOC on how to register:

Now on to the good stuff:
All major changes will be marked <NEW>. These should be read as they
may contain information that if not included properly may cause the
door not to operate.
Any other changes were considered to minor to document or place within
this documentation.
The following files should be included in this package:
* Denotes that the file is needed for the program to work.
* BIOCMPDR.EXE Main game program
* BIOCMPDR.INS The instructions file (In Ascii) for players.
* BIOCMPDR.CFG A quick file to get it up in local mode fast.
NOTE:
Layout for the BIOCMPDR.INS file:
This is a strictly ASCII TEXT file with nothing special in it!
The door itself manages the instructions file and if you see
anything that should be added you can simply use an ASCII text
editor.
FILES YOU SUPPLY:
This door will run with any of the following door files:
SFDOORS.DAT, SFMAIN.DAT, SFFILE.DAT, SFMESG.DAT
CALLINFO.BBS, DOOR.SYS
Files created as the door needs them:
BIOCMPDR.ERR Created whenever an ERROR results in the door.
Miscellaneous Files included in the package:
REGISTER.DOC Registration form for this program and others.
PROBLEMS.DOC Information on how to tell us about bugs, suggestions
or any comments you would like to make.
WHATSNEW.DOC Information concerning changes and updates to this
particular program. This file also contains the
expiration date for this version.
ERROR.DOC A file listing some of the common errors that might
be encountered if not installed properly. It is only
included to help sysops be better able to diagnose
the problem more quickly.

STEP ONE: Create a subdirectory for this program
And copy all of the above files into the directory.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP TWO: Construct your configuration file
Your config file should contain the following:
regi = unregistered ; Your registration number if you have one
bbsname = Blue Foxx BBS ; The name of your BBS
sfirst = Tim ; Sysops First name
slast = Maloney ; Sysops Last name
doortime = 60 ; MAXIMUM time a user can be in this door
; If they have less BBS time then BBS time
; will be used.
com1irq = 4 ; If you use a standard com port and
com2irq = 3 ; wish to use a different IRQ this is
com3irq = 4 ; where you change it. You can use any
com4irq = 3 ; IRQ from 1 to 7.
The game will sense if you lock DTE and take appropriate steps to insure that
proper locking takes place. The door only supports standard comport addresses
but can use IRQ's 1 to 7. Available speeds are from 0 to 115k baud.
Items with a ; preceding them are treated as comments and ignored!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP THREE: Create your batch file to start the program.
First you must Change Directory (CD or CHDIR) into the directory
containing the door. Then type the name of the door, a space, and
the PATH AND NAME TO YOUR DOOR FILE!
Example of a batch file to call this program.
C:
CD \BIOCMPDR
BIOCMPDR C:\SF\SFDOORS.DAT
C:
CD \SF
Remember to change back to your calling directory with a CD
on the line following the one that calls the door.
Most Sysops will already be familiar with their BBS Doors and will
only have to add similar lines into whatever batch file or door
monitor file that will eventually call the door.
This program works with the following:
SFDOORS.DAT, SFFILE.DAT, SFMESS.DAT, SFMAIN.DAT
CALLINFO.BBS
DOOR.SYS
These are the ONLY door files that are recognized by this program at
this time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP FOUR: Running the program
This is the easiest part.
A. LOCAL:
Just type the name of the game and it will do the rest.
ex. BIOCMPDR
B. Remote / BBS
Call up your BBS and enter the door.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
And there you have it.. If I have left anything out or if you have any
suggestions for this or future doors....
Give me a call at The Blue Foxx BBS (405) 482-3855 (1200/19200 24hrs)
If you would like to register this program fill out and MAIL the printed
form found in REGISTER.DOC.
Your registered key will be available for download at the Blue Foxx BBS.
Registrations are processed in the order received.
If you have any suggestions, wish to report bugs, or just want to comment,
use the format from the PROBLEMS.DOC file and we'll be happy to see what we
can do.
In any case feel free to call and leave me a comment.
