  116. Recipe Box requires slightly over 560 kb of memory to operate
  117. with all features active. Some of the features may be turned off
  118. by using command line parameters, thus reducing the memory
  119. requirements.

  149. Flat screen PCs and lap tops may require the MONO parameter to
  150. operate properly.

  152. The Export parameter is used when sending recipes to an ASCII
  153. file.  The output is formatted such that the text file can be
  154. imported into a Recipe Box Database using the CONVERT.EXE
  155. utility.

  159.                          Getting Started
  160. ----------------------------------------------------------------

  163. Recipe Box is menu driven with an on-line subject sensitive help
  164. system. Press F1 or <Alt H> at any time to activate the pop-up
  165. window with help information.
  166.  
  167. Choose Quick Guide from the Main Menu (M,Q) to bring up a list of
  168. Quick Guide selections. You can read about different features, as
  169. well as learn short cuts.
  170.  
  171. Hold down the Alt key for several seconds to activate a pop-up
  172. window displaying a list of Hot Keys. These features are
  173. available at any time by pressing either the Alt key and the
  174. appropriate letter or the correct Function Key :
  175.  
  176.     Alt H : Help                          [F1]
  177.     Alt N : Note Pad                      [F2]
  178.     Alt S : Save & Continue               [F3]
  179.     Alt X : Save & Exit to DOS            [F4]
  180.     Alt T : Tag List (Display)            [F5]

  182.       ESC : I am done with this ...       [F10]

  184. The ESC key and F10 have the same effect. It will let you
  185. escape from where you are and return to where you were.
  186. Hitting the ESC key enough times will return to the top
  187. level Main Menu.

  190. WARNING : You should never exit Recipe Box by turning off the
  191.           power. This could corrupt your data files.

  195.                          Using the Mouse
  196. ----------------------------------------------------------------
  197.  
  198. Recipe Box will automatically detect whether or not a mouse is
  199. active.  If detected, a mouse character will appear on your
  200. screen.
  201.  
  202. The mouse is set up to respond to a single button click or drag.
  203. Both buttons on a 2 button mouse will respond in the same manner.
  204.  
  205. You can scroll through a list (or text) by dragging the upper or
  206. lower potion of the pop up window.  For example, select one of
  207. the topics from the TidBits menu.  Move the mouse pointer to the
  208. lower portion of the window and depress the mouse button.  The
  209. screen will scroll downward until the end of text is reached.
  210. Move the move pointer toward the top of the window to scroll
  211. toward the beginning of the text.
  212.  
  213. To close the current window, move the pointer outside the window
  214. boundary and click the mouse.
  215.  
  216. To select a menu item, click once to highlight and again to
  217. activate.  A single click outside the current window will close
  218. the window (has the same affect as pressing the ESC key).

  226. Recipe Box "manuals" are fully self contained within the program.
  227. There are 3 methods to aid you in learning all the features :

  229.    Help Box      Appears at the bottom of your screen and
  230.                  displays "What do I do now" information.

  232.    On-Line Help  Press <Alt H> or F1 at any time to receive
  233.                  additional subject sensitive help.
  234.  
  235.    Quick Guide   Select Misc Stuff, Quick Guide (M,Q) to learn
  236.                  detail information on using various features.
  237.  
  238. Select "Hard Copy of Quick Guide" from the list of Quick Guide
  239. topics to obtain a Hard Copy of the text.

  241. An ASCII file equivalent of the Help Text is available to
  242. registered users. (See  section on Free Software Utilities).

  284. Sunrise Software has made available a special licensing
  285. arrangement for Recipe Box Version 2.
  286.  
  287. Sunrise Software will issue a Special Application License (SAL)
  288. for Recipe Box. The theme is to promote the use of our software
  289. with a special set of recipes (a Cookbook).
  290.  
  291. All features and functions are active in the SAL diskette as in
  292. the Registered License version.  If the holder uses Recipe Box
  293. for adding in more recipes or cookbooks, then the holder is
  294. required to obtain (purchase) a registered license.
  295.  
  296. An example of the SAL would be an organization publishing a
  297. cookbook of 100 recipes plus offering a Recipe Box diskette with
  298. the same 100 recipes. A person obtaining the SAL diskette would
  299. have all the features of Recipe Box available to them.
  300.  
  301. If the holder of the SAL diskette becomes a registered user they
  302. will receive the free utilities plus the 115 recipes distributed
  303. with the Shareware version.
  304.  
  305. Sunrise Software will work with the organization to provide any
  306. desired customizing, such as:

  308.   - Each recipe can be protected to prevent alteration
  309.     or removal from database.

  311.   - TidBits topics can be modified to provide specified
  312.     information requested by the supplier.

  424.               functional version of Recipe Box.  There are no

  429.               the text found in the "About Recipe Box" menu
  430.               selection.  The shareware version contains general
  431.               information regarding the use and distribution of
