  33.      Remove the outer shells from the 
  34. small  sections or  cloves  of garlic 
  35. and chop them finely, enough  to make 
  36. a  poultice  about  one-fourth  of an 
  37. inch  thick  to  cover  the bottom of 
  38. each  foot,  spread  it  evenly  on a 
  39. piece  of  soft  cloth,  then place a 
  40. thin piece of cloth over  the garlic, 
  41. remembering to grease the  bottoms of 
  42. the  feet  with  lard,  vaseline   or 
  43. similar grease, for if the garlic  is 
  44. placed directly  on the  feet without 
  45. the grease, the child cannot stand it 
  46. as it is  apt to  blister; now  place 
  47. the  prepared  poultice  on  a  cloth 
  48. suitable  for  binding   it  on   for 
  49. overnight.  It  is wise  to cover the 
  50. foot and poultice with an old sock so
