CAPLink Information --- 02/01/94
There has been some discussion about FIDEI, and use FIDEI to
transfer CAPLink to systems. After some lengthy discussion with
Derren, Rob, and myself, we have come to the conclusion that we
will allow FIDEI as a means of transfer.
Rob Borek and Dale Vieira are, at the moment, the only two systems
that have to capabilities of transferring FIDEI messages.
Rob will be in charge of getting those that want to transfer FIDEI
message to his, or Dale's system a NODE number for CAPLink. We
have not yet updated our PPE program or offline form to reflect
these changes. We hope to have the PPE completed for March.
PSP Club has changed their name to Programmers Online Systems.
Two new conference have also been added to the network. These two
conference are: FIDO Tech, and PPL.
Look in the CONF.CAP file for a list of conference currently
carried on the network.

May 1994 bring the best to all! Let us all try and make this
network one of the best around.
In all Network information packets you will find a "INTRO" screen
for the two support conferences that CAPLink carriers. If you
carry the conference, you should have these screens somewhere being
displayed to the users.
Some changes to the application program, and the node list program.
These two programs have not been released as of yet; however, we
are hopping to get them into the market within the next couple of
months. We would still like to beta test it for some more time.
There has been some conversation about adult material on some
system that are currently carrying CAPLink. The problem is that
the issue was never brought up in the rules and regulation in the
beginning, and it is hard to start implementing rules now -- after
the fact. We will still have some more discussion over the next
couple of months and we all will await the outcome of it.
Some new systems have join the network as well! Check the node
list!

==================================
CAPLink Network has arrived!
Let me give a little history of what this network is all about, and
how it came to be. It started back several years when this system
was born. There was this idea to use a computer bulletin board
system to help my business out. That business being computer
consulting, and programming. After three years in the planning
stage CAPLink is off the drawing board and into the 'air wave'.
We are trying to make this network a large network, not necessarily
by conference volume, but by system volume. We are hoping to
achieve thirty systems by the end of this current year and continue
to grow every year.
At the moment we do have a small conference list; however, as we
grown in size so will that list of conference. Currently these are
the conference we have online.

Application Process
-------------------
The application process is very simple, you must be running a
system 24 hours a day, and be willing to transfer mail to your Hub,
Regional, Super-Regional, or Network host at least once a day.
There are two ways that you can apply. The first way is to
download the CAP_YYMM.ZIP file which holds the application form and
all the rules for the network. You will fill the application form
out and send it to us. The other way of applying is to call
CAP/CANADA at (416) 287-0935, or CAP/ANALYSIS at (708) 854-0255,
and use our online application form. To pull this application form
up all you do is type 'CAPLINK' at the command prompt.
