@SCROLL BACK
The Scroll Back Buffer holds a record of what you have already
seen on your screen. The number of pages that it holds is set
in the SETUP/GENERAL menu. Communiqué also has the unique
feature where it remembers the contents of the Scroll Back
Buffer from previous sessions. Below is a list of keys that
may be used in the Scroll Back Buffer and their use.
[ALT-L] Clears the contents of the Scroll Back Buffer
[ALT-W] Writes the contents of the Scroll Back Buffer to a
text file
[F1] This help screen
[F2] Will display the Memo and allow you to move around the
Memo and edit it
@PAGE
[SPACE] Will paste the line under the hilite bar into the
Memo for later use
[ENTER] Will send the line under the hilite bar to the modem
[ESC] Places you back into terminal mode

the com port. This is handy when you wish to

■ If you have made changes in the memo they
will automatically be saved on exit.

MetaCommands are symbols that may be placed in
a commandline string to instruct the software
to perform a special action whilst carrying
out the instructions within the commandline
The following metacommands are supported in
various places in Communiqué :
*M - Swap Communiqué either to EMS
memory or to disk before shelling
to DOS.
@PAGE
*W - If the commandline swaps to DOS
then this will instruct Communiqué
tp perform the shell in a window.
*G - Prompt the user for a filename,
this is useful for external
protocols.
*S - Inserts the system directory, the
directory in which Communiqué
resides.
*U - Inserts the upload path.
*D - Inserts the download path.

*P - Inserts the port number currently in
use (0..7).

In many ways the dialling directory is the heart of a terminal
program. This is where you store the telephone numbers and all
related information of each computer that you may use your
modem to call. The dialling directory is a big database, or in
a way a large dossier,of bulletin boards and other information
services.
The following commands and keys are available in the dialling
directory:
EDIT,DD EDIT Edit an dialling directory entry
VIEW,DD VIEW Displays all information of an entry
MANUAL,DD MANUAL Dial a manually entered telephone number
COPY,DD COPY Copy an entry to another
WIPE,DD WIPE Wipe, or clear, an entry

JUMP,DD JUMP Jump, or go to, another entry in the
dialling directory
FIND,DD FIND Find text in the dialling directory
ADD,DD ADD Add another blank 60 to the dialling
directory
NEW,DD NEW Clear the whole dialling directory

entry
GLOBAL,DD GLOBAL Globally change parameters of all entri-
es in the dialling directory

@IEMSI XRQ
IEMSI File Requests allow you to automatically dial a BBS,
logon with IEMSI, send a list of files for immediate upload
and download. Communiqué will then automatically upload and
download those files then logoff.
