Program Name: MONOUTIL.COM
For Operating System: DOS
Author: Joseph J. Tamburino
Address: 1640 Worcester Road, Apt. 104D
Framingham, MA 01701
Email: jjt@iri14.infores.com
Price: FREE
Extra Equipment: 2nd monitor and monochrome adapter card.
Purpose:
This is a DOS program used to copy on-screen text data to the
monochrome screen.
Data can copied in two ways:
1) Press Ctrl-Alt-M to copy the entire 80x25 screen image
to the 2nd monitor.
2) Press Ctrl-Alt-I to enter interactive mode. In this mode,
you use the mouse (required) to select an arbitrary block
of text from the screen. After selecting the text, the
block appears on the monochrome screen in inverse (or blinking)
format. Using the mouse, position the block to where you
want it, and click the mouse button. The block will now be
affixed to the monochrome monitor.
Installation:
To install MONOUTIL, simply run the program from the DOS command line.
Since it is a TSR, it should be run outside before loading windows.
For ease of use, try placing the program in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file or
equivalent.
Enjoy!
