Installation
------------
To install OS/ASSIST, follow the steps below.

If installing from an installation diskette:
--------------------------------------------
1. Insert the OS/ASSIST installation disk into the appropriate drive.
2. From the DOS command line prompt, type in A:INSTALL. If using the B
drive, substitute A: with B:.
3. Follow the directions for installing the software. The install
program will copy all needed files to your system and make the
required modifications to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

If performing a manual installation:
------------------------------------
1. Create a directory to hold the OS/ASSIST utilities.
From the DOS command line prompt, type in MD C:\OSASSIST.
2. Change the current directory to that of the OS/ASSIST directory.
From the DOS prompt, type in CD C:\OSASSIST.
3. Copy all of the OS/ASSIST files to the OS/ASSIST directory from all of
the installation diskettes.
From the DOS prompt, type in COPY A:*.* C:\OSASSIST.
4. Extract the utility files from the self extracting archive file.
From the DOS prompt, type in ASSIST.EXE.
5. Extract the help files from the self extracting archive file.
From the DOS prompt, type in OSHELP.EXE.
6. Modify the DOS PATH statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file to include
the OS/ASSIST directory. For example, if your current PATH statement
is:
PATH=C:\;C:\DOS
you would modify it to look as follows:
PATH=C:\;C:\DOS;C:\OSASSIST
7. Add * one * of the following statements to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
SET OSASSIST=NOVICE
(or)
SET OSASSIST=EXPERT
