  1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  3. PrintSwitch 2.0 - A simple utility that makes changing your default 
  4. Windows printer as easy as one click! Automatically configures
  5. itself for your system and displays all currently installed printers.
  6. Shows current default selection and paper orientation in normal or icon 
  7. state and automatically senses any changes. Also allows access to printer 
  8. setup, toggling Print Manager on & off, Print Manager priority settings and 
  9. toggling paper orientation. User configurable for screen position, button 
  10. font size, button size and button color. It also has options of remaining on top of all 
  11. running programs and starting as an icon. If you have more than one installed 
  12. printer and change them regularly, this utility is for you! Great for networks, 
  13. printers with multiple connections and fax modems! Shareware. Requires 
  14. VBRUN300.DLL not included.

  32. INSTALLATION

  34. Run INSTALL.EXE. All distribution files will be copied to the directory of your choice 
  35. (.VBX and .DLL files will be placed in your Windows/System directory). For optimal 
  36. ease of use, it is recommended that you have PrintSwitch automatically load when 
  37. Windows is started.

  39. IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM AN OLDER VERSION
  40.  
  41. If you get an error message "sub or function not defined" when starting or closing 
  42. PrintSwitch, you have an old version of MESSRECD.DLL somewhere on your system. Delete ALL
  43. copies of MESSRECD.DLL from your system and reinstall the newest version which 
  44. should be dated 10/5/93 or newer and be 1,792 bytes in size. It should be installed
  45. in your Windows/System directory.

  47. DISTRIBUTION

  49. This program may be freely distributed by any BBS or Shareware distributor
  50. as long as all files listed above remain a part of the archive. Please 
  51. maintain the following filename for distribution: PSW20.ZIP

  53. SHAREWARE REGISTRATION

  55. PrintSwitch is Shareware. If you find it useful, please register it.
  56. Use the Order option under the Help menu to print an order form.

  60. Upon registration you will receive a serial number to disable the Shareware 
  61. nag screens, an upgrade to the latest version, technical support and 
  62. notification of future version releases.

  110. If you install or remove a printer driver or change connections using Control 
  111. Panel, the information displayed by PrintSwitch will not be current. Unload
  112. and re-start PrintSwitch to update it's display.
