This program translates the printeroutput for an HP Laserjet Series II to
the windows .bmp format. This is the easiest format I know - and by the
way the only one ...
But in the next few days I'll write another c-code doing the 1:1 conversion
of HP Laserjet code to .pcx, because this saves diskspace and is understood
by many FAXprograms too.
The reason why I created this code is that I did not find a postscript-to-
pcx converter and I actually have an HP Laserjet Series II printer and
therefore the information about the printercodes. This porgram does no
printercapture!! It is necessary to print to a file or to have another
printercapture-program.
I think it shouldn't be too much work to change the code in the way that
it converts postscript - I know it would be much more universal then -
but my problem is, I don't know postscript... and without a reference it
was not possible to program.
I hope that someone (in a few weeks I'll probably do it myself) changes
the code so it will understood postscript correctly - and then, some day,
it will know more output formats too - I hope!
David
