  7.      SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  10.      512K RAM, Hard Disk, Any Monitor
  11.      DOS 3.3 or greater

  13.      NEW INSTALLATION

  16.      Use the INSTALL.BAT to install the system to your hard disk.
  17.      Just enter the drive and path for Easy Project.  All necessary
  18.      files will be copied and unpacked.
  19.  
  20.      Please make sure you have a CONFIG.SYS file in your root directory
  21.      that has a FILES=25 statement.  This is the minimum value to be used.

  23.      Use the EP.BAT file to start Easy Project or place the following
  24.      statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
  25.            SET CLIPPER=F030;
  26.  
  27.      UPGRADING FROM A PRIOR VERSION
  28.      ------------------------------

  30.      Follow the normal installation instructions being sure to install
  31.      Easy Project in a new subdirectory (i.e. \EP40).
  32.  
  33.      To update the system with your old data, follow the instructions
  34.      in the user manual.

  36.      NOTE:  Only files from a 3.X version will be converted.  There is no
  37.      utility provided to convert data from a version prior to 3.0. (1989)

  45.      As a registered user, you will always have access to the
  46.      latest Easy Project version online.  Our BBS number is:

  49.     EXPANDED/EXTENDED MEMORY USERS

  52.     If your system has conflicts between Easy Project and
  53.     expanded memory, this may appear as an OPEN ERROR (0)
  54.     message on starup.  To correct this problem, issue this
  55.     DOS SET command prior to starting Easy Project:

  61.     LAPTOP OWNERS
  62.     -------------

  64.     Easy Project may detect what it interprets as a color
  65.     monitor on some laptops.  Better results may be ontained if
  66.     the monochrome option is chosen from the system configuration
  67.     screen.

  70.     DROPING TO DOS/BACKUPS/RESTORE NOTES
  71.     ------------------------------------

  73.     The Backup and Restore options all drop to DOS and execute
  74.     from the DOS prompt.  Depending on the size of your projects, you
  75.     may experience an error message stating you do not have enough
  76.     memory.  Try exiting Easy Project and executing the Backup or
  77.     Restore functions first before retrieving any projects.

  79.     OUT OF ENVIRONMENT ERRORS

  82.     If you see an 'Out of Environment' message displayed, add
  83.     the following to your CONFIG.SYS file:
