  32. Bike Manager is a shareware program distributed without any warranty.
  33. The author accept no responsibility for damages that are caused by
  34. the use of this program. This software is provided "as is", and you
  35. assume the entire risk when you use it.

  37. Everyone can copy and redistribute the unregistered version of Bike
  38. Manager, but only as long as the name of the author remains in this
  39. and other files. You should not redistribute any modified files at
  40. all.

  42. You may evaluate the program for a 30 day period. If you like the
  43. program and want to use it on a regular basis, you shoud register you
  44. usage of the program for a small fee, see the registration form for
  45. more information. In return, you will recieve the latest version of
  46. the program without any limitation, and a printed user manual for the
  47. program.

  59. How to install it.
  60. ------------------

  62. Just put all files in one directory and run it! You don't need to do
  63. any tricks in autoexec.bat or config.sys! BM.EXE and BM.ERR must be
  64. present. The *.HLP/*.HIX files are optional - nice to have if you
  65. want help!

  86. Important Notes.

  89. Any database created by previous version of Bike Manager can be read
  90. by Bike Manager 1.05. But a database created by version 1.05 cannot
  91. be read by earlier version of the program.
  92.  
  93. If you got databases created by previous version of Bike Manager, you
  94. should update them before you add new training entries to the
  95. database. The following updates are recommended:
  96.  
  97.     - Any bicycle computer definitons.
  98.     - All trail objects, see help topic "BMUPD, the update program".
  99.     - Check all bike objects attribute mask (new feature).
  100.  
  101. If you have been using version 1.03 or erlier, you can delete all old
  102. helpfiles (*.HLP), since Bike Manager 1.05 don't use them anymore.
  103. All help topics are stored in a single file. This file must not be
  104. edited or changed since it may corrupt the help system. This also
  105. goes for the faq file (FAQ.HLP and FAQ.HIX).

  107. There is a small limitiation in the unregistered version of Bike
  108. Manager. After one year, you must create a new database, since the
  109. maiximum time between the first and the last training entry cannot be
  110. more than about a year. There is no such limitation in the registered
  111. version of the program.
