  22. Changes in Release 2.1
  23. ----------------------
  24. This release of YOUR-PLAN is designated 2.1. 
  25.  
  26. It includes details of the changes in UK income tax rates etc. which
  27. were announced inthe November 1993 Budget and which will take effect
  28. in the UK from April 1994.
  29.  
  30. It also contains a friendly "front-end" introductory program and menu
  31. system called "GO".
  32.  
  33. Changes in Release 2.0
  34. ----------------------
  35. This was a major upgrade of YOUR-PLAN. It incorporates some very 
  36. interesting and useful changes and additions in five main areas 
  37. as follows: 
  38.  
  39.   1. We have added a graph printing utility. This is contained in
  40.      a separate archive file (YOURPLAP.ZIP). See below for guidance 
  41.      on archiving and distributing YOURPLAN.ZIP and YOURPLAP.ZIP.
  42.   
  43.   2. To help users keep their projections up-to-date, we have 
  44.      added a "roll-forward" facility to allow them advance their 
  45.      forecasts one month at a time. We have also added "drill-
  46.      down" facilities for all key projections.
  47.  
  48.   3. To make YOUR-PLAN even easier to use, we have added pop-up 
  49.      Guidance and Hint Windows. 
  50.      
  51.   4. We have also added new text files called TAX.TXT, 
  52.      ENTERASS.TXT and MONEY.TXT.  
  53.  
  54.   5. The layout and contents of the README.TXT, VENDOR.TXT and 
  55.      MANUAL.TXT files have been improved and expanded.

  59. YOUR-PLAN (r2.1) - Fully-operational, comprehensive & easy-to-use

  64. YOUR-PLAN (r2.1). For personal cash planning and budgeting. 
  65. Use to prepare a personal budget and cashflow projections for 
  66. six months ahead. Fully operational package with very
  67. comprehensive features. Very friendly and menu-driven with 
  68. extensive "on-line" context-sensitive help and "drill-down"
  69. features. Substantial accompanying documentation.

  71. YOUR-PLAN produces numerous reports and graphs with analyses 
  72. of income & expenditure and details of projected bank and 
  73. credit card balances. Handles any currency, income tax (any 
  74. regime), interest calculations, salary deductions, expenditure 
  75. under many headings etc.

  77. For easy updating of projections, it incorporates a facility for 
  78. "rolling forward" assumptions and projections one month at a 
  79. time. YOUR-PLAN is ideal for "what-if" analyses.

  81. As a bonus, YOUR-PLAN includes text files containing dozens of 
  82. quotations about money and summaries of the latest income tax 
  83. rates and allowances for UK and Ireland. YOUR-PLAN has been rated 
  84. extremely easy to use. Registered users automatically receive an 
  85. even more powerful version.

  87. Use YOUR-PLAN to forecast your income and expenditure, improve 
  88. your financial planning & control and, ultimately, save 
  89. yourself money!

  91. YOUR-PLAN is supplied on a single disk (360k). An optional graph 
  92. printing utility can be supplied on a second disk. Alternatively,
  93. both YOUR-PLAN and its graph printing utility can be supplied
  94. together on a single 720k disk.

  98. None!  Program is complete, fully operational and usable.

  102. YOUR-PLAN is an internationally useful product. It can 
  103. accommodate different currency symbols and is suitable for use 
  104. with most income tax regimes.

  113. The two supplied archive files are YOUR-PLAN.ZIP and 
  114. YOURPLAP.ZIP.
  115.  
  116. YOURPLAN.ZIP contains all the basic program files required to 
  117. run YOUR-PLAN. The second file, YOURPLAP.ZIP, is optional and
  118. only contains the graph printing utility. It is not essential 
  119. in order to use YOUR-PLAN or to print its graphs. 
  120.  
  121. If you wish, you can distribute YOUR-PLAN as follows:
  122.  
  123.  1. On a single 5.25" disk only containing YOURPLAN.ZIP if 
  124.     you only supply software on this disk size.
  125.  
  126.  2. As a double 5.25" disk set containing YOURPLAN.ZIP plus
  127.     YOURPLAP.ZIP respectively if you only supply shareware on 
  128.     this disk size.
  129.  
  130.  3. As a 3.5" disk containing YOURPLAN.ZIP and YOURPLAP.ZIP.
  131.     For convenience, you should add/append YOURPLAP.ZIP to 
  132.     YOURPLAN.ZIP before making your master copy for 3.5" disks.

  134. BBS sysops may wish to add/append YOURPLAP.ZIP to YOURPLAN.ZIP before 
  135. loading it onto their systems.
  136.  
  137. You should recommend users to install YOUR-PLAN to a subdirectory
  138. called "YOUR". The first thing a new user should do after installation
  139. is run a program called "GO".
  140.  
  141. System required
  142. ---------------
  143. Industry-standard PC with DOS 3.30 or higher and a hard disk,
  144. or dual 3.5" or 5.25" drives. Conventional memory of 640k. Runs 
  145. as a DOS program within Windows. VGA, GCA, mono, Hercules or LCD 
  146. displays (or equivalents). Printer (dot-matrix, ink-jet or laser) 
  147. desirable but not essential.
  148.  
  149. Registration
  150. ------------
  151. Fee is £29 (twenty-nine pounds sterling) or US$44 including p&p or 
  152. S&H. Cheques, drafts, international money orders, Eurocheques etc. 
  153. are all acceptable provided that they are denominated in pounds 
  154. sterling, US$ or Irish pounds. Payment can also be made by credit 
  155. card (Visa, Access, MasterCard or Eurocard).

  157. In return for registering, a user is licensed to continue
  158. using YOUR-PLAN on one computer without any time limit. In 
  159. addition, a registrant automatically receives (at no extra cost) a 
  160. fully-operational copy of a much more powerful and comprehensive
  161. version of YOUR-PLAN, called PERS-PLAN, with its 90-page 
  162. spiral-bound printed manual (incorporating tutorial exercises
  163. etc.). In addition, full support is provided for both products.

  166. Registration is via Invest-Tech Limited for Europe etc. and 
  167. through "PsL" (Public software Library) for the US/Canada.

  178.                     DISTRIBUTION ARRANGEMENTS

  181. The Shareware Distributor Agreement Form below should be completed 
  182. by every prospective distributor & approved by Invest-Tech
  183. prior to any distribution. The Agreement Form need not be
  184. completed by Approved Vendors of the US Association of Shareware
  185. Professionals (ASP), by members of the UK Association of Shareware
  186. Vendors (UK-ASV) or by libraries etc. which were supplied with a 
  187. copy of YOUR-PLAN directly by Invest-Tech. If you wish, you may 
  188. offer your own standard distribution agreement form instead of
  189. using our one. 
  190.  
  191. *** If you fail to notify us that you are distributing YOUR-PLAN, 
  192.     you cannot expect to be sent upgrades, new products etc.

  196.                    DISTRIBUTOR AGREEMENT
  197.                    =====================

  199. The terms of the USER LICENCE AGREEMENT (see README.TXT) also
  200. apply to distributors. In particular, no distributor may 
  201. break-up, change, interfere with or delete any part of the
  202. supplied software or documentation or make any changes whatsoever
  203. to Invest-Tech's and YOUR-PLAN's copyright and registration
  204. details. This does not preclude a distributor from adding a 
  205. readily identifiable explanatory text file for user information, 
  206. or changing the method used to archive all YOUR-PLAN's files as 
  207. a single unit.
  208.  
  209. Anyone wishing to charge a fee for distributing YOUR-PLAN should
  210. have the prior written non-transferrable authorisation of the
  211. author, Invest-Tech. Without this, a distributor is in breach of
  212. YOUR-PLAN's copyright.
  213.  
  214. To secure authorisation, send the completed Distributor
  215. Agreement Form (or your own distribution agreement form) and a 
  216. copy of your current shareware catalogue to Invest-Tech. Written 
  217. authorisation must be received from Invest-Tech prior to
  218. commencing distribution.
  219.  
  220. The following Terms of Distribution must be fully adhered to:
  221.  
  222. 1. The fee charged by a distributor for supplying a copy of 
  223. YOUR-PLAN may not exceed £5 (five pounds sterling or equivalent)
  224. inclusive of P&P etc. This limit need not apply to CD-ROM 
  225. distributors where YOUR-PLAN is included in a compendium of 
  226. shareware products.
  227.  
  228. 2. Every library's catalogue or listing must clearly state that
  229. YOUR-PLAN is NOT free software; that the library's charge to 
  230. customers is a copying fee only and does NOT constitute payment 
  231. for YOUR-PLAN; that registration is required for continuing use;
  232. and that YOUR-PLAN is copyrighted software and provided as 
  233. shareware only to allow a user to evaluate it before purchase.

  235. 3. Distribution of YOUR-PLAN will cease as soon as Invest-Tech 
  236. requests and YOUR-PLAN will be removed from library listings as
  237. soon as practicable thereafter.
  238.  
  239. 4. All copies of YOUR-PLAN for distribution must include all
  240. the supplied files (contained in YOURPLAN.ZIP or YOURPLAP.ZIP) 
  241. which must not be changed in any way and must be taken from the 
  242. most up-to-date master disk supplied by Invest-Tech.

  244. 5. YOUR-PLAN must not be sold via "rackware" or as a low-cost
  245. retail product or packaged for sale with or without pre-printed 
  246. documentation unless written permission has been given by Invest-
  247. Tech PRIOR to any such activity commencing. 
  248.  
  249. 6. YOUR-PLAN may not be used as a promotion or enticement for
  250. any commercial venture (including use as a "cover" disk for a 
  251. periodical) unless prior written approval has been secured from 
  252. Invest-Tech.
