Because I got a lot of personal requests from blind people, we decided to
make a few extra features which will help you to use Terminate even faster
and more easily than any other terminal program known to us.
Most of you use some kind of speech device which only can detect BIOS writes.
This was made in version 0.51. Move to the Screen and colors menu and turn
the DIRECT VIDEO to NO or 'Only menus'. It depends on which speech thing you
are using. Sometimes the Only menus could be best because the cursor is
placed on the menu lines and then use BIOS in terminal mode.
If you like keyboard click to make it a little easier moving around in the
menus, move to the toggles menu and turn on KEY CLICK.
A special function also in the toggles menu that you should enable is BLIND
SUPPORT, this feature will always turn on the cursor so if you have a helper
he/she can tell you if the cursor position was wrong and ask me to correct the
error. This function also enables you to press CONTROL ENTER and move the
cursor position to the first position in the helpline at the bottom of the
screen - allowing you faster speech access. If no help is found in a menu,
when the menuline selector is used, then a beep will be played: high tone,
low tone.
Please note that Terminate places the cursor, even though it is not visible,
on the first character in a menuline to give you faster access to the menus.
I will try to make all the features people demand, that's why Terminate will
be what people want and not what some kind of corporation pushes. If you have
any other special needs for Terminate, I guess you will send a letter to me...
