  5. SUBJECT : Support for Intel's new SatisFAXtion 400 board (402 board).
  6.  
  7. CHANGES:
  8.         Changes have been made to SAT.NLM to detect the new Intel 
  9.         SatisFAXtion 400 board.
  10.  
  11. INSTALLATION:
  12.      Step
  13.         1- Copy the new SAT.NLM to the FAXserve host server SYSTEM directory.
  14.         2- Then rename the SAT.NLM to FAXDRV.NLM.
  15.         3- Copy the files DOWNLOAD.402 and LOADER.402 to the FAXserve home 
  16.            directory (i.e. SYS:FAXSERVE\). These files should be located in 
  17.            Intel's DISK 1 that comes with the fax board.
  18.         4- Unload all FAXserve's NLMs by typing the following at the
  19.            server system console.
  20.                     UNLOAD FAXSERVE
  21.         5- Now reload the FAXserve NLMs by typing 
  22.                     LOAD FAXSERVE

  24. NOTE:
  25.    We have been experiencing some problems with the new board.  The
  26.    following lists these problems.  We are currently working with Intel
  27.    to resolve these problems.

  29.         1- Some images received on the SatisFAXtion 402 board gets
  30.            corrupted.  This occurs during both high or low resolution
  31.            transmission.
  32.            For these same images, if the transmission is in low resolution 
  33.            the board seems to detect the transmission as a high resolution.

  35.         2- After receiving several pages the received page count resets to
  36.            one.

  38. Ways of identifying the SatisFAXtion 400 board from the 402 board
  39. =================================================================
  40. 1- The box containing 402 board has a time stamp of 12/10/93 on it.
  41. 2- The 402 board has a smaller speaker than the 400 board.
  42. 3- The 402 has a rectangular white capacitor that is placed parallel to the 
  43.    length of the board.  The 400 board has the white capacitor placed 
  44.    perpendicular to the board.
