1$COMM is not the do-it-all terminal program. We do not expect
you to throw away your favorite Terminal program and use 1$COMM
instead. 1$COMM was written for the sole purpose of capturing
in full ANSI color, everything that comes to you without any
emulation, cheating you out of the actual ANSI code.
We have added, some other cool features, to simply aid you in
your quests. Help, which can be read inside or outside of the
program will explain how to use the program.
Protocols included:
[ ASCII, XMODEM, XMODEM/CRC, YMODEM, YMODEM-G, ZMODEM(Batch) ]
[ Support for External or Batch Protocols ]
Files included in 1$COMM:
1$COMM.EXE Standalone Terminal program.
1$FORM.EXE Standalone Dial Directory / Editor interface
README.1ST This file

JOEMODEM.TXT Document for advanced users
Files that can be generated to supplement 1$COMM's use
1$EXT.PRO If created properly, will allow user to use any external
protocol.
ADVPARAM.DAT If created properly, will allow user to control many different
properties of 1$COMM, from the number of video lines to
ZMODEM management properties. Read "JOEMODEM.TXT"
????????.LST File that you would create to hold a list of filenames for
use with external protocols. "????????" = some name
Files generated by 1$FORM.EXE
1$COMM.DAT Configuration file for 1$COMM.EXE
1$COMM.LOG Dial Directory information for 1$FORM.EXE

1$COMM.CAP If the Capture mode is not off, "default is on,"
then this is the complete transmission of every
thing that you saw, during the last terminal
session.
This file overwrites each terminal session.
1$USE.LOG A text file that keeps a record of important stuff,
"Events," that happened during your communications
session. Also records file transmission results.
This file is appended, with each new session.
Strange characters at first prompt? Well...some BBS software
kicks back our auto-detect strings. It works fine on
our board, we use PCB. However on other BBS's that we
have called, sometimes our ESC[1,1R or if used the
RIP string will appear at your first prompt. For now
just backspace it away. Once we figure out how to rid
this problem, "without turning off the echo" it will
be fixed. Thanks for bearing with it.
1$COMM sells for $ 1.00 US, and is in no way
crippled, or copy protected. Please distribute
this program freely.
Thank you for using 1$COMM,
¥ Wizard.....
