SYSTERM.DOC by WB3AFL
This terminal program was written for remote sysop operation of the
W0RLI BBS. The key feature being the automatic decoding of sysop passwords!
Basic file operations are also included such as, capture, send, read, and
delete. Other features include, programmable function keys, and DOS
commands.
SETUP:
Systerm requires the use of an MBBIOS type port driver.
Parameters are outlined in the SYSTERM.CNF file. They can be in
upper or lower case.
The 'timeout' value is how long to wait for a response when
decoding passwords. KEYS.MB must be in the working directory
to decode the password. It's the same format as KEYS.MB for
the BBS. See sample KEYS.MB below.
'LF' (line feed) should be turned 'ON' when communicating
with the BBS.
Function keys 1 thru 9 can be programed, key 10 is hard wired
to print the key settings on the screen. All function key
lines that require a C/R need a '|' at the end.
The following are valid baud rates and abbreviated form:
110 - 11 1200 - 12
150 - 15 2400 - 24
300 - 30 4800 - 48
600 - 60 9600 - 96
OPERATION:
Commands are sent by first entering a CLT-A to get the command
prompt. Commands are listed in the SYSTERM.HLP file. Typing
'HE' at the command prompt prints this file to the screen for
on-line help.
Remote Sysop operation is done by first connecting to the BBS.
The following is a typical session (via G8BPQ Switch) showing
the operation of SYSTERM's remote sysop feature:
