Copy all of the above files (you should have your own BASICA.COM)
onto one(1) disk. The program can only access 5 pictures, so if you
download more than 5 rename them 6, 7, 8 or whatever. But when you
copy then to the SSTV disk rename them back to PICTURE(1 thru 5).PIC.
This program will use both the MONO and the COLOR display or just the
COLOR display, either way you choose.
With the PC powered on load BASICA.COM, then insert the SSTV disk into
drive "A". Load READSSTV.5-0 and run, the MONO display will now have
a menu with 8 options. <<<NOTE>>> This program takes audio (speaker
output) and converts tones to a picture format. If you have a radio (HAM
or SHORTWAVE) you can tune to the freq. listed in the menu and receive
SSTV off the air by using the "I" function, but if you are only going
to look at the pictures off this BBS, DO NOT USE FUNCTIONS "P",
"I", "D" or "S", as these functions will HANG UP YOUR SYSTEM. These
functions are "looking" for a sync pulse to receive a new picture.
Use only the "M", "L" and "H" functions (use the H function it is a
help screen).
Back to the program, with the menu on the MONO display, enter "L", the
system will ask what frame, enter "1" and hit return. A picture will
be painted on the COLOR display. For the most part these pictures were
live at the time I received them, the pictures from the space probe
were live or close to it. I have some from the space shuttle that I will
put up from time to time, as you may have noticed these pictures are
16.5K each so I can't put very many of them on the BBS at any one time.
If you would like more pictures at any leave me a message here on this
BBS. GOOD VIDEO WB5YTG RICK TROMMER
