  12. This bidirectional beam antenna has the intriguing property of having a null
  13. overhead, like a vertical antenna, no matter how low to the ground it is
  14. mounted.  It can thus be used to reduce QRM on 75 meters from high angle local
  15. signals without incurring the problems of grounded vertical antennas (ground
  16. losses, extensive radial systems, local groundwave response).  Compare the
  17. elevation pattern of this antenna with that of a dipole at 50 feet.
