  10.                          READ THIS BEFORE STARTING NETWORK:
  11.

  13.             NETWORK is an electronic circuit analysis program for ladder
  14.             networks.  It will provide a tabular output of Insertion
  15.             Loss, Return Loss, Phase, VSWR, Reflection Coefficient, and
  16.             Real and Imaginary Input Impedances.  There is a high-
  17.             resolution plotting capability for each of these parameters.
  18.             
  19.             Various filters or impedance matching networks may be
  20.             quickly analyzed and plotted.  These circuit files may then
  21.             be saved or loaded from disk.
  22.             
  23.             NETWORK requires at least 256K of RAM and a CGA, EGA, or
  24.             Hercules Graphics Card.  The VGA may be used in CGA or EGA
  25.             modes.

  28.                                   FILE DESCRIPTION
  29.             
  30.             The following files may be found within the archive,
  31.             NETWORK.ARC:
  32.             
  33.             README.TXT - This is the current file you are reading.
  34.             
  35.             REGISTER.TXT - This ASCII text file describes the
  36.             registration procedures and site licensing requirements.  A
  37.             site license form is included.
  38.             
  39.             MANUAL.TXT - This is an ASCII text file of the complete
  40.             users manual for NETWORK.  Turn your printer on, set the
  41.             print head at the top of the page, and type the following
  42.             command at your computers prompt character (>A or >C,
  43.             typical):
  44.                        TYPE MANUAL.TXT > PRN    <ENTER>
  45.             
  46.             This assumes that your printer is connected as device LPT1.
  47.             
  48.             SETUPNET.EXE - This is the setup program for NETWORK.  Start
  49.             it by typing SETUPNET at the prompt.  Run this first in
  50.             order to properly configure NETWORK for the desired data
  51.             disk drive, video graphics card, color scheme, and default
  52.             units of frequency/ohms/capacitance/inductance.  NETWORK
  53.             will run best with CGA or EGA graphics adapters.

  55.             NETWORK.EXE - This is the NETWORK program.  Start it by
  56.             typing NETWORK at the prompt.

  74.             INITIAL.NET - This is the initialization file for the
  75.             NETWORK program.  It contains the setup information as
  76.             defined by the program SETUPNET.EXE.

  78.             LPMATCH.CIR, TLINE3.CIR, BBMATCH.CIR, and CAUER.CIR - These
  79.             are the example circuit files as described in the user
  80.             manual.

  82.             EPSON.COM - This is a public domain program which will allow
  83.             the printing of CGA or EGA graphics screens on EPSON, or
  84.             EPSON compatible, printers.
