- A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
-
- The network editor is used for creating network topolo-
- gies for subsequent analysis. When entering from the main
- menu, the user will be asked to supply a file name. If no
- file is to be retrieved from disk, simply hit RETURN. This
- will place the user into the editor at line one of the cur-
- rent network in memory. Any other entry will delete any net-
- work that is currently in memory. If a file name is given at
- this point, the program will retrieve the file from disk and
- place the user at line one.
- The screen will display the following information con-
- cerning the network:

- LINE NUMBER ........ The line number of the network
- currently being displayed.

- ELEMENT TYPE ....... The three letter code that de-
- scribes the type of element or
- command assigned to this line
- number.

- ELEMENT NUMBER ..... The number given by the user to
- the displayed element. In the
- case of elements, these numbers
- are unique. In the case of in-
- terconnections and transforma-
- tions, this is the designation
- of the result of that operation,
- and does not necessarily have
- to be unique.

- PARAMETER #1 ....... Information concerning the ele-

- supplied in these areas.

- B. MENU OPTIONS

- All of the options available to the user are given in the
- menu displayed at the bottom of the screen. The descriptions
- of the menu options are:

- ADD ELEMENT ........ Enables the user to enter a new
- network element at the depicted
