I am placing this on Compuserve, because I think it is possibly the
most interesting packet idea in a while, and a number of people have
ask for this portion of MPC to be broken out as a single application.
It is my intention to make a few changes to the talk43 program in the

The TALK43.EXE program is the "talk back" portion of the MPC_LAN system.

The TALK43.EXE program is a stand-alone packet terminal/answer program.

If you are using COM1: 9600 baud 8 bit no parity for you tnc, you then
may log on drive A: and type TALK43 for a description of the proper
command line and then the command line you choose to run the program.
If your tnc is set at other than the above baud/port setting, make
a quick edit of the mpc_cfg.dat file to get these settings and your
