  6.          consulting firm.   Help to registered users is available through
  7.          Compuserve, GEnie, or mail.  Orders and inquiries  are  normally
  8.          processed within  48  hours.   Free trial copies of all software
  9.          may be obtained  from  Compuserve  (IBMSIG),  Public  (Software)
  10.          Library  of Houston, GEnie, and many systems around the country.
  11.          Unless noted otherwise, all programs  operate  under  MS-DOS  or
  12.          PC-DOS  2.1 and above, on IBM XTs, ATs, or compatibles, and will
  13.          work on MDA, Hercules, CGA, and EGA video cards.

  17.               The ultimate in printing utilities,  SUPER  PRINT  has
  18.               just   about  any  printing  feature  which  could  be
  19.               desired.  SUPER PRINT will print files  with  embedded
  20.               control   characters,   will  slash  zeros,  add  line
  21.               numbers, add left margin space for  three-hole  paper,
  22.               page  number, print file time and date in heading, and
  23.               other stuff.  Recent  additions  include  page  length
  24.               setting,  top and bottom margins, wild card filenames,
  25.               prompted   printing,   printer   configuration   file,
  26.               adjustable tab  expansion, and more!  This is also one
  27.               of the few printing utilties which may be  the  target
  28.               of piped data from another program.  Now, version 2.70
  29.               includes  even  more enhancements, including character
  30.               translation capabilities.  The most software  you  can
  31.               get for only $10!

  34.               This  is  a  text  formatting  program similar to UNIX
  35.               nroff, except oriented to the PC user.  Virtually  any
  36.               printer  can be supported with several different fonts
  37.               or ribbon options.  This program also has file merging
  38.               features for creating form letters merged with address
  39.               lists, or other such uses.

  41.                            FOR C LANGUAGE PROGRAMMERS:

  43.               *****   STEVE'S TURBO-C LIBRARY   *****
  44.               This expansion library for Borland's Turbo-C has  over
  45.               130 functions and growing.  Although Version 1.5 of TC
  46.               contains  direct  video  access, "Steve's Library" was
  47.               the FIRST to contain a full library  of  direct  video
  48.               text functions for this compiler.  Many users say that
  49.               my  functions  are  even better and easier to use than
  50.               Borland's.  The library includes complete source  code
  51.               in  C and assembler, plus several useful header files.
  52.               Included are printer BIOS service  routines  for  fast
  53.               printer  access,  and  async communications functions,
  54.               directly accessing the serial ports  for  fast  access
  55.               without buffering.  Up to 9600 baud is possible!
  56.               Need to accept wildcard filenames on the command line?
  57.               My  exparg()  function  re-arranges (argc, argv) to an
  58.               expanded array with all wildcards expanded to matching
  59.               filenames.
  60.               An installable interrupt handler for  the  18.2  Hertz
  61.               interrupt   is   included  so  that  simple  real-time
  62.               applications can be  programmed  which  will  function
  63.               properly regardless of the type of system in use.
  64.               Functions  for  file  opening  from PATH and specified
  65.               environment variables make opening a file anywhere  in
  66.               the environment totally transparent to the programmer.
  67.               And  now,  support  is  also  included  for the switch
  68.               inputs on the game port!   This  4-bit  port  is  very
  69.               handy  for reading switches or other logic levels from
  70.               any outside device.
  71.               Full documentation suitable for printing  and  placing
  72.               in  a  binder  is  provided,  along  with a utility to
  73.               automate the printing.
  74.               To demonstrate various functions from STEVE'S LIBRARY,
  75.               six utilites with  source  code  are  included.    The
  76.               utilities include:
  77.               GTOD - Reports time and date in many formats
  78.               TC - Compare two text files and report differences
  79.               WC  -  Count  words,  lines, characters, and checksums
  80.               files
  81.               OKISET -  Configure  an  Okidata  Printer  or  similar
  82.               IBM-type printer
  83.               INPATH - Locate an executable file in current PATH
  84.               DUMP - Unique hex dump program in COLOR, with optional
  85.               highlighted bytes.

  88.               This  expansion  library  for  Zortech C  has over 100
  89.               functions.  Much of "Steve's Library" for Turbo - C is
  90.               included,  except  the  direct  video  (which  Zortech
  91.               provides).   However,  "Steve's Library" provides much
  92.               of  what  Zortech  forgot,  like   control-break   and
  93.  
  94.               critical   error   interrupt   handlers,  device  type
  95.               interrogation functions, a game  port  handler,  async
  96.               functions, direct  printer  functions,  and more.  All
  97.               functions have been optimized for Zortech.

  102.                            FOR AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS

  104.               *****   CONLOG   *****
  105.               This is the first in what  will  become  a  series  of
  106.               contest   logging   programs  for  the  Amateur  Radio
  107.               Operator.  CONLOG is intended for the annual  November
  108.               Sweepstakes.   This  package is more than one program.
  109.               There is a logging program for use during the contest,
  110.               and  two  support  programs  to  print  the  resulting
  111.               logsheets, summary,  and  duplicate check sheets.  All
  112.               forms  are  printed  with  slick  graphics  (for   IBM
  113.               compatible  printers only), but can be also printed on
  114.               non-IBM printers without the graphics.  The forms have
  115.               been approved by the  ARRL  for  submission  as  valid
  116.               contest entries.     Extra  care  has  been  taken  to
  117.               preserve all log entries, even if there is a system or
  118.               power failure.   The  user  can  configure  all  video
  119.               attributes,   plus   name,   QTH,   rig,  and  section
  120.               information.  This program is the  result  of  various
  121.               programs  written  over  the  last seven years for the
  122.               Sweepstakes.  No guarantees are made, but MY score has
  123.               increased by over 25% as a result of computer logging!
  124.               And the time saved in re-copying  the  logs  (to  make
  125.               them readable!)  is  incredible.   My entry is usually
  126.               ready for mailing about 30 minutes after  the  contest
  127.               ends.   All new contest rules are supported, including
  128.               the new West Texas section, and QRP power  precedence.
  129.               Provisions  are  made  to  edit  or delete log entries
  130.               during the contest, and the  program  absolutely  will
  131.               not let  you  log a duplicate callsign!  Log size is a
  132.               hefty 2500 entries to  cover  even  you  guys  in  the
  133.               COLorado section.    Try  it once, and throw away your
  134.               pencil!  And when you work  the  contest,  say  hi  to
  135.               WA9DRE when we work!
