**** CW RECEIVE PROGRAM ****
Written by AA4L: Based on prior work by W6PRO and K4IWW
April 9th, 1983
This program will copy International Morse Code to the PC console screen.
The input is via the Asynchronous Communication Adapter #1 "Carrier
Detect" input (pin #8). An EIA RS 232C "plus" voltage to pin #8 is
interpreted as "key down". The "minus" voltage is interpreted as "key
up". The program adjusts itself to the speed of the received CW signal
in one of two ways, under control of the <F9> key, which is used as a
"toggle". If <F9> is inactive (the default condition), the speed algorithm
examines both dits and dahs. This provides the most rapid speed adjustment
and is recommended for initial acquisition of a received signal. In this
mode, the program assumes a dit length to dah length ratio of 1 to 3.
With <F9> active, only the dah length is examined by the algorithm.
This mode may provide better copy in the presence of static crashes, or
if the received signal has other than the normal 1:3 weighting.
