  1. Subject: User (Sysop) command documentation ( some you may not have seen ). 
  2. This is a partial summary of commands in place now in the versions you have.
  3. Requests are sent as the Subject of standard BBS (P) message addressed to
  4.              BBSERV@BBSCALL  and the available commands are:
  5.         *** Substitute dbname with the database name wanted ! ***
  6.     (Subject line command)              (Operation from server)
  7. (*) See IMPORTANT note below_______________________________________________
  8. (D) GET dbname Filename.ext   Returns the requested file as a message
  9. (D) GET dbname INDEX          Returns an index list of the Directory
  10. (D) GET SRV INDEX             Returns the index of text about server
  11.     REQFIL may be used in place of GET in any of the above
  12. (W) LIST                      Returns databases available & some help
  13. (W) LIST dbname (wildcard)    Will list requested files in the directory
  14. (W) LIST dbname               If file is over 3k will send index if available  
  15.     REQDIR may be used in place of LIST in any of the above
  16. (I) INFO                      Returns this text file edited by sysop
  17. (U) PUT dbname Filename.ext   Places your file in this dbname\upl section
  18. (U) PUT dbname                Places your message as a file in the dbname
  19.                               specified (Must be Public) as Yourcall.txt
  20.                               (Replaces previous file if existing)
  21. (N) REGISTER dbname           Register for new updates to be sent periodicaly
  22.                               by the "OWNER" of  this directory
  23.     ADDRESS Callsign          Returns the hierachial address of Callsign
  24. (DU)                          Returns up to the first 500 users on file
  25. (DU) Callsign                 Returns the registration data on Callsign
  26.  
  27. (*) AA4RE BBS file commands may be substituted for the long commands, replace
  28.   the first word with the proper letter as for PUT use U or  GET use D
  29.  
  30. "OWNER" commands include the abitilty to path in & out of their own 
  31. databases & subdirectories. Each database directory that has an owner
  32. or is "Public" must have a \UPL\ subdirectory on the disk. This is not to
  33. be put in parms.bb Users will be able to upload to these \UPL\ directories
  34. but not dnld. If these are standard AA4RE directories at the end of parms.bb
  35. then you must have subdirectory_ok = NO  for each of the ones used.

  39. "OWNERS" may kill, replace (edit) or request files from his entire directory
  40. and \UPL\ subdirectory but only his. "OWNER" is designated in the comment
  41. line directory setup in parms.bb. 
  42. These owner commands will be expanded on with the shadow developement. You
  43. may edit shadow.trl to suit your needs. This is sent as a trailer after the
  44. owner has serviced his database.
