FEATURES
DUPE is a full featured contest duping and logging program. This
version will accomodate duping and logging of up to 2500 contacts
PER BAND and PER MODE. DUPE checks and finds duplicate contacts
at the rate of approximately 1000 per second.
DUPE displays the current time (set to UTC or local time at the
DOS prompt when you turn on the computer), the total number of
contacts for the current band and mode, the current operator, and
the number of contacts the current operator has made.
The entire log can be viewed on screen by pressing F2 and using
either the arrow keys or PgDn and PgUp to scroll through the log.
Log entry numbers are added for viewing only. Press any other key
to return to the DUPE main screen.
The log may be printed either in a full log print-out with 50
contacts per page, or a listing of contacts only, SORTED in CALL
BOOK ORDER, 300 calls per page.
DUPE will handle any type of ham radio call, including "portable
or mobile" designators. Since DUPE checks for an EXACT match, it
is advisable NOT to use the "/" designation if possible.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
DUPE requires a minimum of 128K memory, one disk drive and DOS 2.0
or greater. DUPE supports multiple disk drives as well as hard
disk drives for storage of data files, including paths and
sub-directories.
DISK FILES
DUPE.EXE is the main program file. To run it, simply type "DUPE"
at the DOS prompt.
DUPE creates a file with a .DAT extension for each band and mode.
The files created are random access ASCII files having the
following format:
BYTE DESCRIPTION
1-9 Call
10-27 Contest information
38-46 Time
47-55 Date
56-62 Operator
63-64 Carriage Return/Line Feed
File naming follows the convention of mode (CW = CW, Phone = PH,
etc.) + band + .DAT.
