Worldwide marine HF-SSB channels were rearranged 1 July 1991. The text file
MARINE.FRQ in AQUAFREQ.ZIP shows the new channels, now in whole KHz and
spaced 3 KHz apart. That text file contains two lines for most entries,
which makes sorting in a worksheet impossible.
The enclosed Lotus file MARINE.WK1 takes care of that problem. It is
also smaller than MARINE.FRQ, because I left out redundant data.
If you prefer ASCII, use MARINE.ASC, also enclosed.
Duplex channel pairs have designator that begin with their MHz bands.
Thus 401 is the first channel in the 4-MHz band. You will find that
most coastal stations have simply moved to the new freqs for their old
circuits. Those appear in the 1991 Grove Shortwave Directory. The
publisher says the 1992 edition should be out in March or April.
Happy DX-ing.
