The following, is intended as quickstart instructions only. For complete
HamCom instructions type print Ham.Doc at your DOS prompt. Have printer ready.
1... after loading DOS in the usual way, insert HamCom disk in Drive A.
2... Type "HAMCOM" without the quotes.
3... The program will load and ask you for a validation number. Type in the
number assigned to you... If you do not have a val number, please
contact the author, or for a demo type in "100".
4... What type of TNC are you using? Type answer.
5... What is your call? Type answer.
6... What is your selcall? Optional for PK232.
7... Is this a PC Junior? Y or N
8... Which Comport, 1 or 2? Usually 1.
9... Select type of Display adaptor. Select proper answer.
10.. Are you using a Color Display? Y or N
11.. Enter your CTEXT Your unattended message
12.. Enter your BTEXT Your beacon text
13.. Which Drive for Default Enter default drive
14.. Baud Rate Between Computer and TNC 1200 is best
15.. Customized Packet ending enter ==> or anything
16.. Special Parms any addn'l parms
17.. Kenwood select screen 0,1, or 2
18.. If a Kenwood was selected, which comport 1 or 2
19.. Would you like a soft "Connect Bell" Y or N
20.. Is your primary output a Voice Synthesizer Y or N

The first time that you run the program... Use option 1.. Reset TNC...after that
use Option 2..
There are Help Windows available to assist you at all times... Type Alt M.
The Help Windows explain themselves.
**** IMPORTANT.. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR DURING THE SETUP PROCESS, YOU MUST
DELETE HAMPARM.XXX AND START OVER... THE SAME APPLIES IF YOU WANT TO
MAKE A CHANGE SUCH AS BAUD RATE ETC.....
**** NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT USE WRITE PROTECT TAB ON YOUR WORKING DISK
HAMCOM NEEDS TO WRITE SEVERAL FILES TO THIS DISK.
