  1.                                  SAVING FILES
  2.  
  3.     The F9 key is dedicated to saving files and will be discussed below.
  4.     When saving a file to disk, you will always be provided with the
  5.     opportunity to rename the file before saving it.  (You cannot save any
  6.     files in HELP mode, so we cannot try sample saves here.)
  7.  
  8.     If you change the name of the file and then try to save it and a file
  9.     already exists with that name, you may optionally set a PC-TYPE+
  10.     toggle to inform you of that fact.  PC-TYPE+ is initially delivered
  11.     with this toggle active.  (See HELP file TOGGLES.)
  12.  
  13.     If you attempt to save a file on top of an already existing file, you
  14.     may be asked if you want to create a .BAK file (Backup) before doing
  15.     the save.  This is another toggle which may be made automatic or
  16.     turned off completely.  It will only make a backup the first time you
  17.     save a file within the current active file.  (See HELP file TOGGLES.)

  21.                 (F9=FILE - Shift F9=SAVE - Ctrl F9=SAVE PART)

  23.     You may save files in PC-TYPE+ by pressing:

  25.           F9 - in which case the current active file will be saved to disk
  26.                and you will be returned to DOS if there are no other
  27.                active files in PC-TYPE+.  If there are additional active
  28.                files, then you will be returned to the editing session in
  29.                the adjacent active file.

  31.     Shift F9 - in which case the current active file will be saved to disk
  32.                and you will be returned to the same file you were editing
  33.                prior to pressing Shift F9.
  34.  
  35.      Ctrl F9 - in which case the MARKED area in the CURRENT active file
  36.                will be saved to disk and you will be returned to the same
  37.                file you were editing prior to pressing Ctrl F9.

  39.                      Press F4 to Return to the HELP Menu
