  5. CheckMate is designed to help you keep an accurate track of your personal
  6. financial activity. The program will record and maintain your transactions, with
  7. full editing capabilities at your fingertips. It will sort and print reports,
  8. search for selected items, help you reconcile your statements, and even print
  9. your checks for you. CheckMate is very intuitive, and you should be able to
  10. evaluate it effectively with this user's guide and the built-in context
  11. sensitive HELP. Additional documentation is available, however, and may be
  12. obtained by registering. CheckMate will run on an IBM PC/XT/AT/jr (or
  13. compatible) with at least 256K of memory and 1 DSDD floppy disk drive (2
  14. recommended). It supports all IBM compatible displays including the EGA. The
  15. program will print checks and reports in any of three pitches, and reports in
  16. two different layouts.
