  16. FUN23.EXE    - Run this program to start AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE.
  17. INFO.EXE     - Run this program for general information on AMY'S FUN-2-3
  18.                ADVENTURE and to view screenshots of other programs you can
  19.                get when you register this program.
  20. CONFIG.EXE   - Run to setup SOUND OPTIONS for AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE. (AMY'S
  21.                FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE will ask to run this program for you if the
  22.                sound options are unset.)
  23. ORDER.FRM    - Print this order form and mail it to us when you register.  If
  24.                you don't have a printer, call us for an order form, or simply
  25.                describe what you would like to order on a blank sheet of
  26.                paper. (don't forget to tell us what disk size you'd like.)
  27. RESET.EXE    - This program will reset AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE's sound options
  28.                to UNSET.  This is useful to run before you give a copy of the
  29.                program to a friend so that they can configure the sound
  30.                options for their particular system the first time they run
  31.                the program.

  33. HOW2PLAY.DOC - A tutorial on how to run and play AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE.

  98. PROBLEMS WITH DIGITIZED SOUND?

  100. AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE was designed to be run directly from DOS.  If you
  101. prefer to run DOS programs from Windows, be aware that depending on your
  102. computer/sound setup, digitized sound output may not work properly in the
  103. Windows environment.  In this case, you will have to exit Windows and run the
  104. program directly from the DOS prompt.  Slower animation speed may also result
  105. if Amy is run under Windows, especially if you have a slower machine.

  107. (Don't forget to run CONFIG.EXE to correctly configure the sound options for
  108.  your computer.  You are given the option to run this program the first time
  109.  you run AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE.)

  112. THE ADVANTAGES OF A SOUND CARD
  113. ------------------------------
  114. To obtain the most enjoyable learning and play experience from this program,
  115. we recommend that you have a sound card installed in your computer.  Although
  116. the PC speaker is supported for digitized speech and sound effects, it just
  117. doesn't have anywhere near the quality that can be obtained from a card such
  118. as the Sound Blaster (which we recommend for best music and speech reproduc-
  119. tion of all the cards we support).

  122. USING OUR SOFTWARE AT SCHOOLS, DAYCARE CENTERS AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS

  124. We are happy to know that our software is being used at schools, daycare
  125. centers and other public and private institutions world-wide.  But please
  126. keep in mind that you must register this software if you plan on using it
  127. in a classroom or daycare environment.  The registration fee is really
  128. reasonable, plus you'll be getting a lot more of Amy's fun software to
  129. use!

  132. TWO AMYS?

  134. By coincidence, there is another educational shareware product on the market
  135. called AMY'S FIRST PRIMER.  AMY'S FIRST PRIMER was written and named for the
  136. author's (Rob Robinson) daughter.  Our program, AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE,
  137. is also written and named after a family member, but in this case the family
  138. member is the author's (David Alves) dog.  (Yes, Amy is real!)  We're sorry
  139. if there is any initial confusion regarding the similar character names in
  140. the 2 programs.  We have purposely left the name "AMY" out of the zipped
  141. filename found on bulletin boards to keep the confusion factor to a minimum.
  142. If you upload this file to any bulletin boards please list the name of the
  143. file as "FUN23_10.ZIP".  Thank you!

  146. PASS THIS PROGRAM AROUND!

  148. Now that you've discovered the Shareware version AMY'S FUN-2-3 ADVENTURE,
  149. why not pass it around to your friends so that other children can enjoy it
  150. too?  Feel free to give copies to other parents or your PC-equipped school
  151. or daycare center.

  153. Be sure to give them the original "FUN23_10.ZIP" file that you originally
  154. downloaded to assure that they are getting the program exactly as it came
  155. from us.  If you no longer have the "FUN23_10.ZIP" file, run the "RESET.EXE"
  156. program to reset the sound options for Amy's Fun-2-3 Adventure, then copy
  157. all of the files onto 2 or more disks (since all of the uncompressed files
  158. will not fit on one floppy disk).  Then have your friend copy all of the
  159. files on the floppies into a new directory on their hard drive.  That's it!
