  1. Welcome to PasTeX 1.4!
  2. ----------------------

  4. This is an enhanced distribution of PasTeX 1.4 created for the
  5. Meeting Pearls III CD-ROM. It is based on Georg Heßmann's original
  6. PasTeX 1.4 CD-ROM distribution. Please read the other documentation
  7. in this directory to learn about it.
  8.  
  9. The additional changes for the Meeting Pearls version include:
  10.  
  11.  * a new and complete LaTeX2e version is supplied (with "unpacked"-,
  12.    "packages"- and "contrib"-directories and English-German formatfiles)
  13.  
  14.  * several changes have been made to the directory structure, to
  15.    get a better presentation and some compatibility to the TWG-TDS draft
  16.  
  17.  * HWGPOST beta 6 for PostScript compatibility is now used
  18.  
  19.  * a new version of DVIPS is integrated
  20.  
  21.  * scrips for installation and CD-ROM-usage have been revised
  22.  
  23.  * to simplify Workbench usage, more files are coming with icons now
  24.  
  25. If you have already used older CD-ROM distributions of PasTeX,
  26. have a quick look at all directories and their contents before
  27. using this release. Many things have been renamed or moved.
