  5. Very comprehensive program to monitor and control system activity.
  6. Monitor cpu, memory usage, ports, interrupts, devices.  Close windows,
  7. screens, show loaded fonts or last Guru code number.  Clean up memory,
  8. flush unused libraries, devices, fonts. etc. and a whole bunch more!
  9. Spawns its own process.  A very handy background task to have loaded.

  16. xv      2.10    Amiga port of the popular unix displayer
  17.  
  18. This is a port of an X11 program called Xv (v3.10) by John Bradley.
  19.  
  20. XV is a program that displays image files in GIF87, GIF89, JPEG,
  21. PBM/PGM/PPM, TIFF, PDS/VICAR Sun Rasterfile, and X11 Bitmap formats.
  22. XV runs on nearly ALL X displays: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 16, 24, and 32-bit,
  23. color, greyscale, and black/white.

  25. XV displays one image at a time in an output window, or on the root
  26. window.  You can arbitrarily stretch or compress the window, and the
  27. picture will be rescaled to fit.  You can rotate the picture in
  28. 90-degree steps.  You can flip the picture vertically and
  29. horizontally.  You can repeatedly 'crop' a picture (define a
  30. rectangular 'region-of-interest' and 'throw away' the rest).  You can
  31. magnify any portion of the picture by any amount, up to the maximum
  32. size of your screen.

  34. XV allows you click on the picture to determine pixel RGB values and
  35. x,y coordinates.  You can perform arbitrary 'gamma correction' on the
  36. picture both in RGB space and HSV space.  You can specify the maximum
  37. number of colors that XV should use, for some interesting visual
  38. effects.  You can have the program produce a stippled version of the
  39. picture using black and white, or any other pair of colors.

  41. XV can write images in a variety of formats, with many of the
  42. modifications you may have made to the picture saved as well.  You can
  43. use XV to do format conversion.  XV will also automatically uncompress
  44. compress-ed files, as well as read files from stdin.
