  2. DoIcon       1.2    Icon information and manipulation tool

  4. DoIcon is yet another icon tool, but it's designed for quick shell-usage
  5. and can perfectly used together with DirOpus or any similar tool.

  24. Man     1.11a    Unix type Man command
  25.  
  26. This is a simple MAN command, known from UNIX systems.
  27. The advantage is, that it recognizes .guide files to be
  28. AmigaGuide© documents. MAN then uses a different viewer
  29. in order to display the AmigaGuide© document. Furthermore
  30. MAN recognizes TeX-DVI files as well, using a different
  31. viewer to display them. You may configure MAN using
  32. environment variables.

  39. Remind      1.41    Reminds you of important dates.

  41.   Calender programs are plentiful for the Amiga, you can always find another
  42. program sitting on a board which tells you what you are doing today. However
  43. I feel none of the programs I have tried actually are useful and easy to
  44. read.
  45.  
  46.   The good thing about remind is that it contains all the information in one
  47. window, including what you need to do today, what you need to do within
  48. several days, and what you have to do for the rest of the year. The user
  49. interface has been remarked on by several people for its clarity.

  51.   Its compact, completely configurable (well nearly), and its free.
  52.   Completely and utterly free, all I ask is that you send me some e-mail to
  53. say that you are using the program.

  60. Reminder       5.9    A nice reminder utility
  61.  
  62. Reminder keeps an eye on a list of messages and commands, which the
  63. user (you) wants to be shown and/or executed at a specific time or
  64. time intervals.  Any or all of the timeparameters can be wildcards.
  65. Once every minute the list is checked, and if a match between the
  66. systemclock and a time specification is found a window will pop up,
  67. and the message(s) will be shown and/or the command(s) will be
  68. executed.

  70. Because Reminder is supposed to run as a backgroundprocess, it is
  71. designed to be memory efficient and use as little CPU time as possible.
  72. Should you however be the owner of an unexpanded A500, or for any other
  73. reason NOT want the program to run continuous, it is possible to make it
  74. show all messages for today at once, and then die (when using this
  75. option no commands will be executed).
