- Release 2.1
-
- Copyright (C) 1993-1995 Ultima Thule Software,
- All Rights Reserved.
-
- THOR 2.1 is an advanced multi-format offline reader, supporting the
- QWK, Fido, UUCP, SOUP, Bluewave, Omen, ABBS, MBBS and Hippo (BBBS)
- message formats. It will also handle TCP-connections with NNTP, SMTP
- and POP3.
-
- Changes from 2.01 to 2.1:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- - Recursive multipart MIME message and binary support.
- - MIME binary part messages can now be viewed inline (only pictures,
- OS 3.x required), viewed with Multiview (pictures + anims, OS 3.x
- required) or saved.
- - New sort/group mode added: Subject+Thread. Will group the threads
- by subject in the "TIN-way". When a thread is selected, the thread
- will expand to include all messages in the msglist window. When some
- other thread is selected, the expanded thread will be folded again.
- - Return-Receipt and Encode 8-bit (quoted-printable on MIME) can
- be used when writing messages if the system type supports it.
- - The numeric keyboard can be used for navigation in most windows.
- - Multiselection on join conference.
- - Multiselection in the message list window implemented. By multiselecting
- messages, you can print, save, mark them with
- unread/keep/superunread/delete flags and do various things from ARexx
- with the selected messages.
- - Window picture will be used in progressbars
- - The list of users in the user database window has been expanded to
- include more information.
- - ALL replies on a news/mail kind of system will be a reply event with
- a correct reference header, if the type supports it.
- - Getting news with the TCP tools will let you define the number of
- sockets to use. Using more than one socket will speed up collection
- of news with 30-80%.
-
